Lord Professor

The Lord Professor is the title given to the highest ranked mage in Ayarara. They are chosen by the Five Magi and are revered for their wisdom and knowledge of magic.

Qualifications

The Lord Professor must be able to wield magic and be considered a master of at least one type of magic, e.x. water, wind, light, etc. The Professor is also required to have studied at a university, either in Ayarara or another kingdom.

Appointment

The Five Magi appoint the next Lord Professor within two weeks of the death or abdication of the previous holder. The Five Magi collectively test the candidate on their magical knowledge. If satisfied, the Magi announce the Lord Professor at an official ceremony in Eien.
