Haunted Battle Sites

Many battle sites are haunted by various forms of spectres such as ghosts, haunts, or phantasms. These tortured spirits are constantly reliving their deaths as a result of a combination of magic and technological weapons. Many of these weapons caused terrifying wounds and their victims died in tortured death throes. 

Spectres have an aura of menace that turns a creature helpless with fear, if they fail this save roll the creature dies instantly. These spirits hate all life, because he was denied his, and he wants to kill them as punishment. Most of these sites are shunned by travelers because those who travel through these areas either don't come back or return with broken minds. Those who survive are never the same, usually have white or no hair, are very quiet, or don't speak at all.
