Evereska

The beautiful, secret, elven city of Evereska nestled deeply in the Greycloak Mountains. The few outsiders invited to visit Evereska were greeted with the sight of the native Blueleaf Trees and floating gardens which carried waterfalls all across the Evereskan Vale. The ones who accidentally stumbled across the city of Evereska or entered uninvited were met with extreme hostility and the incredible combat prowess of the Long Watch.
  Trade
Evereska trades across the entirety of Faerun and even to other continents. People know that Evereska exists, but not where it is.   Military
The Army of Evereska was the cities main defense and they were renowned throughout the elven world as some of the best fighters to walk Faerun. The Long Watch as the exterior army beyond the protection of the city's valley, and the Swords of Evereska served the noble army which is composed of the Noble Blades and Lordly Wands. Evereska's most skill warriors were drawn into the Cold Hand, an elite force commanded by High Lord Duirsar himself. All troops had magical equipment that granted incredibly fast flight speed.   The Vale Guard served as Evereska's equivalent of a city guard, whose jurisdiction extended out to the greater valley, while the Tomb Guard acted as protectors of all elven crypts within the Greycloak Hills. Finally the Feather Cavalry served as aerial mounted sentries that watched over Evereska's skies.   Evereska City
Evereska was situated on three massive marble pillars known as the Three Sisters which rose 1,000ft into the air. The city was covered in a gravity altering Mythal that also slowly cured diseases and had the ability to alter weather conditions. Evereska is also the only elven city with a Mythal to not have 'Myth' in front of its name.   History
In -8600 DR the clans from the fallen Aryvandaar created Evereska in the hopes of creating a safe environment for all Elves (besides Drow).   In 244 DR tribes of Humans almost discovered Evereska, but they were swiftly killed.   In 464 DR the first human was admitted into Evereska, Arun's Son, who sacrificed his life to save the city from Phaerimm. the Arunson family name carried down through generations and is the name of most of the Blackstaffs of Waterdeep, who regulate the usage of magic and such.   In 1374 DR, an army of fey'ri, or daemonfey (elves that are half demon, think the tieflings of humans), led by a princess from the Dlardrageth family of Cormanthor. The Princess' father was a Balor and her partner was a glabrezu (weird thing with crab pincers and such). One of the Lords of Evermeet, a Moon Elf Seiveril Miritar. In what would become known as Seiveril's Crusade, the elf lord left Evermeet and raised a volunteer army to save their fellow Tel'Quessir on the mainland in Evereska.   In 1384 DR the border Evereska and feywild vanished and they were merged until 1420 DR. During this time most Half-Elves left the region since they became more and more like outsiders culturally.   Locations
Cloudcrown Palace- The palace was one of the finest example of Evereska's "naturist" architecture. Although built of stone, the palace was fashioned to resembled a stand of huge blueleaf trees, standing so close together that their boles had grown into one another. Carvings on the walls to give the impression of bark were so accurate that a trained sculptor could not guess it to be stone.
Cloudtop Tower- home to the High Magi of the Cloudtop Magi Circle, advisers to the Council of Hill Elders and commanders of the Spellguard.
College of Magic and Arms- where the city's citizens provided arcane and martial training for novice practitioners of the Art and warfare. Considered an institution of the highest elven standards, the college comprised two separate school within the city, the Academy of Arms and the Academy of Magic. It is the best place in the realms to learn the Art of Dualists, mages who focus on only two schools of magic and how they interact.
Hall of the High Hunt- temple of Solonor Thelandira built into western slope of Moondark Hill in Evereska. This holy place of the Great Archer stood as a monument to the ideal of continual balance with the natural world, using both finely sculpted and naturally-grown architecture to symbolize the principles of Solonar that often existed in contest with one another.
Hall of the Kaliesh'erai- home of the association of elves devoted to the study and practice of psionics.
Starmeadow Tower- the nicest residence in Evereska, owned by the noble Nihmedu family.
Eastpeak Tower- the tallest spire within the city, reached higher than the tallest mountain top, Eastpeak.
Floating Gardens of Aerdrie Faenya- the most breathtaking section of natural architecture in the city, sections of land which floated in the air on their own, carrying the beautiful mountain springs and waterfalls all around the Evereskan Vale.
