Isobard Raish
Iobard Raish, also known as The Great Healer, was a Kthombruan Human Medic. She is said to be the first healer to not utilise magic with her healing, becoming the first Medic, despite being a Human slave of The Sarkic. She, with help from Vox and his The Amulet of Defiled Life, develops a cure for the first wave of Fleshwarping, and later becomes an instrumental founder of The Scarlet Banner. It was later found that the amulet drove her insane, causing her to murder nearly 42 people in gruesome experiments. She was later hanged for her crimes.
Raish's experiments, while ghoulish, still form the basis of many of the techniques used by non-magical healers. When asked whether the heinous circumstances of the development of these techniques justifies their uses, many Medics will state 'The Raish Oath', in which a Medic is not allowed to volunetarily retire until they have saved the lives of at least 43 people, therefore ensuring the techniques saved more people than they ended.
