Bugbear
Bugbears are a goblinoid race, created by Sangroke Bliss, the Travesty of War. A race often looked down upon for their slow wits, quick tempers and expertise in violence, the Bugbear are a dying breed, with the vast majority of their population struggling to survive on the outskirts of other Goblinoid societies, usually as hired muscle, enforcers or manual labour. Bugbears often do not help their reputation; being loutish, rude and brutish, however, some appear to have a more artistic side; a few examples of this include Grox the Pawntaker, the grand master of Dragonchess who is said to be able to outplay even the gods, Gorti the poet and Hund the Gourmand, one of Apa Axas' premiere gourmet chefs, who’s restaurant in The City of Spires was said to be the favourite lunchtime rendezvous of The Mad Queen herself.

History
The earliest examples of Bugbears made up the heavy weapons units of the Hoard of Sangroke Bliss, the Travesty of war, who led an army of Goblinoids of her own creation, including Bugbears, into the past to overthrow the contemporary mortals of The Vida Quda's creations; namely the Dwarves and Elves. These Bugbears utilised the siege engines, and were often referred to as the “Hammers” of the Hoard, due to their blunt but effective natures. While their heyday was bloody indeed, it was the Bugbears who would shed the most. They were the most affected after Sangroke Bliss’ Hoard was disbanded after their defeat at the hands of the Vida Quda’s Most-Favoured ; the Bugbears are notorious for social dysfunction without direction, and they tend not to build permanent settlements by themselves, choosing to live with their goblin-kin, in brigands in ruined buildings or as travelling raiders.
The first of these Bugbear travellers were some of the earliest Barbarians; warriors who favour reckless abandon and overwhelming strength to demolish their enemies. They were the first to develop two of the modern Barbarian Paths, namely the Sangroke Bliss, who adhered to Sangroke Bliss’s traditions, and the Wild Heart Barbarians, who found in the natural world, and act more as beasts than people. This behaviour has confused other races, who don’t know whether to consider Bugbears as capable of joining society. They are somewhat famed by other races for their slowness of wit, however there are historical rumours and scattered reports of a tribe of hyper intelligent bugbears who were on track to lead an invasion into The Putric Isles on @giljust before it was destroyed. While most disagree on whether this society actually agrees, most Bugbears are quite wise, if not book smart, and most seem to have a sense of honour, which mostly involves not allowing the mortally wounded to suffer.
