Caelus (KAY-luss)
Situated amidst a swath of land known as the breadbasket of the Federation, the metropolis of Caelus reaps the rewards of its edenic surroundings. Its rich lowland soil, irrigated by water from the area's large lakes, has long been known to produce reliable and bountiful yields of crops. Hundreds of square miles of farmland stretch out beyond the boundaries of the city; its broad, paved streets become winding gravel roads amidst orchards and fields of wheat only steps beyond the city walls.
The land outside of the city of Caelus produces much of the agricultural products of the Federation. In order to support the distribution of the region's natural goods, Caelus became one of the greater transportation hubs across Aotra; a wide variety of rail and air transit stations populate the city, and its streets are often full of travelers from far and wide passing through on their way to destinations beyond.
