The Mysticete Harp
It was created ages ago by the most prominent bioelectrician Chacbic (belonging to the species of Syrenin Chaceon). It doesn't look anything like a harp, probably because Syreni don't actually know what a harp looks like but it is a musical instrument of sorts. Chacbic had build it out of the lungs and larynx of a Mysticete Whale as a weapon for his lords in the The Aristocracy of Cephalopod. But after getting infected with Blackness and getting exiled to a blacksite the Harp got lost.
You do this by sending electrical charges into the right circles on the interface.
Appearance
It spans about 2 metres long and weighs 100kg. It's mostly transparent with two wings on either side, which work like lungs to breath air into the larynx (in lieu of vocal cords) trapped between them in a safety shell (also transparent). This sphere shaped shell has an interface that looks like and endless field of circles with sigils engraved in it.Usage
When used, the harp emmits frequencies tailored to specific Syreni of the users choice. These frequencies shock the nervous system, often lead to a kind of freezing of the body and if longer exposed to the signal, it can lead to a failure of the nervous system and death.You do this by sending electrical charges into the right circles on the interface.
Access
The Harp was lost so that's the first hurdle to overcome if you want to use it. The second is the complicated interface which sports sigils which were used in ancient technology but is out of fashion now and only a few people can still read it. The interface is also highly complex and to be able to use it on a Syreni you need to have their personal frequency and take their species into account.
