Kotland
Kotland is a viking like country, mostly comprised of orcs. It lies on the western peninsula of Wildren. They make their living raiding the rest of the world.
Structure
Kotland is ruled by a Justicar elected by the Jarl of each tribe. The Jarl is elected among their ship captains by the free men of each tribe. Each tribe has a collection of villages and towns mostly along the coastline.
Culture
The people of Kotland believe in taking what they want. They are the predator the world is their prey. When they are 13 boys are offered the chance to train as raiders, some choose to remain at home becoming farmers, herders, or craftsmen, most choose undergo the hard training. Raiding is adventure, glory, and riches beyond what is usually available to others. They graduate at 17 and are offered spots on the ships of the captains of their tribe.
Demography and Population
While the vast majority of Kotish people are orcs or half orcs, there are the occasional goliaths, ogres, half-ogres, even a few giants. There are also slaves that were freed, either through the grace of their masters or committing an act of heroism. The enslaved population is a mixed bag. anywhere they have ever raided they usually capture at least of few slaves.
Religion
The Kotish worship a small array of gods and the heroes of their tribe. They believe that those who are truly worthy become gods after death. There are a few deities that are accepted by all tribes and usually are revered even above one's own ancestors. Asbjorn is the god of battle, storms, and bears. Brakka is the goddess of home, hearth, knowledge, and women. Korrpi is the goddess of fate and death. Bjormod is the god of strategy and leadership. While many tribes have their own afterlives run by the heroes of their tribe they do agree on some basic tenets of the afterlife. One of the most important of these is death. Korrpi has already decided the date of your death but how you die is up to you. If a warrior dies without a weapon in his hand he is denied the warrior heaven of Valhalla. Retired warriors will often come out of retirement when they feel their strength starting to leave them, so they can die on a raid, axe in their hand. This is referred to as a death saga.
Women are the keepers of knowledge and religion for the Kotish. It is a wife's duties, in addition to looking after the house and raising children, to maintain the heritage of the tribe. What heroes their husbands and children are descended from and the stories of all their ancestors.

Agriculture & Industry
There isn't a lot of farmable land in Kotimaa. Instead they either hunt or fish for their food. They do have an overabundance of sheep though. While their soil and climate are unsuitable for most crops the grass that grows can sustain large herds of sheep, whose wooly coats stop them from freezing like most livestock would.
