House Pel
The Pel family is one of the seven houses of power. The Pel family run the city of Derth located in the north eastern corner of the island. Derth is a city in a valley completely surrounded by mountains. The church of the Great Protector is based there. The head of House Pel is the head of the church. Pel is a direct descendent of Parvis - the one who found this island. The church creates clerics and monks, emphasizing supporting roles, (we work better together with members of all houses). Clerics typically buff and heal while monks known as Watchers stun lock. There are a few mountain monasteries where The Watchers train their diciples. The greatest of which is called The Sanctorium Pelonium and it is a half temple half keep, defensible area where they devote themselves to The Great Protector. It has a tower overlooking the sea, watching for potential threats.
The church is like the catholic church in movies. The religion is widely practiced but the church has agents that keep their true objective alive. The Watchers act as secret police and security for the Pels.

Adrian Pel. The Lord of House Pel and head of the church, Adrian Pel is a man driven by faith. The Great Protector has told Pel that he would need to repopulate his house in the coming years. He is a very involved and demanding father but takes time to go on hunts with his family and preach sermons personally. Syndey Pel - Loyan. A pious woman from a branch of House Loyan. Lord Adrian Pel chose her not for her influence but because the Great Protector said she would give him many sons. Genn Pel. Strong, courageous, and wise Genn has already earned the respect of most of the church. He is a man of very few words but when he does speak, people listen. Orion Pel. Jacob Sammuel Pel. A prodigy healer, Sammuel often ignores his other duties or misses important sermons or functions because his is in the hospit seeing to patients. He is fully dedicated to the art of healing and his father allows it because it is his calling. Rin Pel. The youngest Pel sibling and the only girl has dedicated herself to the arts. She paints of course but her true passion is in the design of stained glass windows and the buildings that hold them.Structure
The Head of House Pel is always male, unlike the other houses of power. While the head of house still chooses their successor, they must choose from the male offspring.
Culture
Those within house Pel know of the Great Protector's true mission. Combining and cultivating bloodlines to create the greatest heroes the world has ever known in its time of greatest need. Because of this they care very deeply about who your family is and whether or not your marriage was arranged or approved by the church. They also tend to be a bit racist, the Great Protector chose to save human bloodlines after all.
