Losgardian Lowlands
Geography
The heartlands old Losgard, the lowlands are a broad stretch of gently rolling hills spreading out from the foothills of the Losgardian highlands to the sea on the far side of the coastline, dotted with thick woods and hedged pastures. Broad and slow-flowing rivers meander their way to the sea, lined with reeds and willows, and wildflowers. Small towns and villages dot the landscape, presided over by the silhouettes of castles that stood watch during the endless wars followed the annihilation of Losdell.
Lakes dot the landscapes, particularly where the rivers flow into broader valleys and the flow is slowed as it meanders to the other side.
Fauna & Flora
The lowlands are the richest region in Losgard and have rich organic life. Much of it is domesticated and agriculturally focused, but there are still broad stretches of land that has been reclaimed by the wilderness after Aranxes swept through and crushed the continent.
The most common trees are ash, beech, maple, oak, and other deciduous hardwoods, with coniferous trees becoming more plentiful the closer to the highlands one travels until they become the only tree high up near the moors. Along the rivers, these are diversified with willow, honeysuckle, and other high-moisture trees.
As far as wildlife, the most predominant are red deer, elk, boar, and rabbits, along with wolf-packs and bears in more remote locales where only toppled stone shows signs that humans once lived there. Badgers, moles, and other tunneling mammals can also be found here, preying on small creatures such as voles and field mice.
Songbirds are plentiful and so are falcons, hawks, and some species of eagles. Trout live in the streams, as well as turtles, frogs, and other small amphibians. Bees are plentiful, with them primarily being the honeybee kind. However, there are also wasps.
