Spellweaver
A spellweaver is someone who casts spells through manipulation ('weaving') of the Unseen Fabric. The related profession that requires less experience and has more subtle effects is called spellplucker.

Qualifications
To become a spellweaver one must be skilled in manipulation of the Fabric and cultivate that skill during a course at a recognized spellweaving institute.
Career Progression
Regularly someone who wants to become a spellweaver starts off as a spellplucker. The individual goes through this phase of spellplucking during their studies, as a way of applying their lessons in practical situations, performing tasks that are below a true spellweaver and to be able to earn a small income.

Social Status
In the Theocracy of the Ancient Ways spellweaving is a prestigious profession. Not many are capable of getting as intimitely in touch with the Fabric as necessary to provide spellweaver services.
Spellweaving, or in fact any kind of use of Fabric, is forbidden in the Autonomous State of Individual Freedom. As spellweavers are usually members of the sworn enemy in the Descendants War, any spellweaver is by default captured and punished.
