Descendants War
The Descendants War is the ancient and ongoing military conflict between the Theocracy of the Ancient Ways and the Autonomous State of Individual Freedom. While this is the concrete definition of the miltary conflict, it is a result of and symbol for the ancient conflict between the Javeii and the Javal, which is a conflict between species and cultures.
Officially the war has started the moment The Theocracy and ASIF were officially founded, but the conflict was already going on before that in informal capacity. As soon as the Javeii and Javal became conscious of the fact that they both were descendants of the same extinct species that had once lived in a great civilization, fights started over who were the true descendants and successors. Even though there was no particular benefit of being recognized as the one and only official descendants it was a matter of pride, a matter that neither of the sides has been willing to give up throughout the ever continuing conflict.
Due to the fact that the conflict has been going on for over 10,000 years the reason to fight the war has changed from its initial cause. It started out as a fight over superiority but it has become a self-perpetuating cycle of revenge, retribution and blind hate. Generations upon generations of both Javal and Javeii have suffered under the conditions of war and neither party is willing to forgive or forget about past losses and hardships. While officially the matter of superiority, proving who are the true descendants of the Jav is still used to justify the war on both sides, the war itself and all the suffering that is has caused has become justification enough in practice.
