Dwarves

They are multi-faceted and varied in their Clans.
Of these two, the Mountain Dwarves and the Hill Dwarves are the most common, but by no means the only ones.
Well integrated in most of the nations that compose the Empire, they are known to be reliable and sturdy folk who often keep to themselves. Frequently, they congregate in small settlement, villages at the outskirts of larger cities, where they tend to live their lives according to the traditional laws that regulate their people.
They do however, by and large, abide by the Imperial mandates and do not shy away from seeking a career in the service of the state in one form or another. In this case they are valued for being hard working and straightforward.

The more traditional minded Dwarves can be seen carefully grooming their beards into intricate pattern and weaves that signal their clan affiliation. Reading these patterns is a complicated art that even amongst Dwarves is lost to many, on account of requiring quite an extensive knowledge of Dwarven lore that is transmitted orally outside of the major cities and settlements.

There are a few "Dwarven nations" within the Empire, enclaves that are granted special status of self determination, in exchange of a tithe in extra taxes to be paid to the Empire.
One such Enclave is the Glimmerdall, on the North side of the Copper Mountains.
