Gaia

"Gaia can be found everywhere where Kinaras light does not reach." - Anonymus
Gaia is the life in the empty world of elemental chaos.   Pushed back from the temporary civilisations since the arrival of Kinara as new deity of fertility and life, there exists another, older, obscure goddess of life and birth: Gaia. Also known as the Birth Mother, Gaia is a primordial entity as old as the world, some even they she actually is the world, while others believe that she created the world. She birthed the first elementals, aberrations and monstrosities that populated the world of Langraan before the arrival of the Younger Gods and she birthed many of the primordial deities as well. With Ur as her mate she gave birth to Rgruushsh, Erkis and Jormundgand. In another union with Keltoras she gave birth to Shiv-Shar.
It is unbeknownst to anybody where Gaia resides, or if she is even alive, but she is venered by many races as a deity of fertility, giver of life and being equivalent to the idea of nature itself; though her veneration has diminuished since the growth of Kinara as a deity of nature and fruitfulness. Outside of what many humanoids call culture, hidden deep in the jungles, tundras and deserts of the world, under mountains and lost cities, she is worshipped by reclusive tribes and uncivilized entities. Large temples built by forgotten races and cultures, varying vastly in size and architecture all apparently shared the same purpose: paying homage to the ancient entity with many names. The Primodial Mother. The Root. The Winged Mother.
Gaias portfolio includes birth and life to all lifeforms. Her domains are Beastial, Creation, Hope, Life, Nature and Plant.
Depiction
Remaining pictures, representations and idols of Gaia show a huge adipose fur covered creature with many extremities and large wings. Even though known to a handful of scolars around the world next to no historical record can be found to its origin, its meaning or to the end this entity found.
Holy Day
Gaia is not venered by common folk in civilised regions. As many civilisations have forgotten her, most humanoid have even never heard of her.
Commandments
  • Life need things to live.
  • As long as their is life, their is meaning.
