Ur

Ur also known as the Primordial Father or Primordial Root is an ancient primordial deity from when Langraan begun to spring into existence. His life is connected to the world itself, his essence is raw elemental force, his existence is bound to the world; he needs the world to live as the world needs him to function. Ur was the leader of the primordial Usha Pantheon as the primordial entities grouped together to form a counterbalance to the Younger Gods. He was a colossal entity made of uncountable primordial elements, able to shift his form freely. The influence of Ur in all primordial entities is omnipresent and as such Ur is venered by many as patron, as giver of strength and power and not rarely as true ruler over the world.

Ur had helped to create and reshape the world in order to make new space for new life as the Young Gods planned. He spent enourmous amounts of time and power to create new space and planes of existence in, around and adjacent to the world of Langraan. As he returned from his labour the first animals and plants had been created and were growing and running and breathing. He was curious in the first moments of this completly new life the Younger Gods had talked and planned about so much, but as he saw how weak and fragile this new life forms were, he was disgusted. "Why create new life, if it is weaker than rock, less agile than wind", Ur proclaimed and he took a mountain out of the ocean and crushed it into the world, possibly creating the World Spine in the moment. His kin began attacking the flora and fauna and shortly nothing was left of the first life forms created by the gods. The gods were shaken by this display of destruction and death and it was Ercon, who without contemplating the possible consequences took his axe and attacked Ur. A battle between the two erupted, a battle Ercon would have lost, if not for the intervention of Arxon, who could not abandon his brother. With Arxon joining the fray so did the other Younger Gods and together they contained the might of Ur; it was unclear at this point if the world could continue to exist without Ur, but without greater planning possible the gods destroyed the body of Ur; at least as much it was possible. In the last moments of Ur Ercon again swung his axe and beheaded the Primordial Father. His headless body shivered and quaked in an impossible display of power, shaking the world itself; but as the tremors died away the world still stood and Ur was dead. Yes something was still there, Urs body still moved and shifted, split and reformed and though much smaller, gargantuan creatures rose screaming: it was the birth of the Salus Origa.
