Salus Origa

As Ur the Primordial King was killed by the Younger Gods the earth quaked and the world itself shook. Every being on Langraan could feel the incident and life stood still in anticipation. Would the world survive? But as the tremors begun to fade again, the world was still whole and Ur was dead. The Younger Gods victorious, but shaken, had taken a great risk as they killed the Primordial Father, but it seems that the world did not need him to function. As they pondered about what had just transpired it was Keltoras, who noticed it first: the elements of Urs body reformed and begun to shift, elements of the same kind accumulating on the same spots. With a shattering scream rose a collossal fiery roaring scaled monstrosity of the large pool of lava; it was the first Salus Origo: Temperament, Ruler over Fire and Heat.
Ercon hasty as always was the first to take action. With his mighty axe swinging wide he intended to behead this new foul creature swiftly, but it was quicker than he anticipated. Temperament managed to dodge the brunt of the attack and halting the god of war in his attack. "What is it oh mighty sun, are you truely wielding the power of fire?", Temperament sneered mockingly, locking his eyes with the god. The other accumulations of elemental masses begun to rise in unison and the other elemental dragons begun to rise. As the situation was about to escalate completly the light suddenly dimmed and a voice appealed breezily: "Enough." It was the Salus Origo of Law beseeching peace. "You have killed our father in a most foolish and treacherous way, risking the existence of the world. I have no hate towards you, as his death meant my beginning of existence, but I will warn you only once. We are what is left of the structural bond of this world. We won't be killed as easily as Ur and the price will be more than you can sustain."
as their name indicates, primordial entities often taking on the shapes of dragons. They often come into existence in regions with magical interferences and their bodies form and refelect the environment they spawn in. Their very essence is primordial and in contrast to their dragon-brethren, who are known to be highly intelligent, they act like simple beasts only existing in order to consume their own and their opposite element. They spawn in terrain that reflects their element and seem to grow as long as they consume; but as the Salus Origo comes to a certain size it needs grows to consume their counterpart element. At this moment in time the Salus Origo often starts travelling to find material to consume. It is therefore not uncommon to find a full-grown fire Salus Origo living next to the ocean or an ice Salus Origo in a volcano.

Each Salus Origo is bound to the element of its forefather. They are divided by the respective elements and have a strong hierarchical structure, where the oldest and strongest Salus Origo, the so-called Forefather, of its nature is the undisputed sovereign over all its spawns. These from time immemorial entities where so vast and possibly destructive that the gods tried to annhilate the chaotic and destructive ones, when they came unto Langraan , only to realise that they possessed no means of definitively destroying them. Even with their bodies and souls crushed, the Primordial Fathers always return. It seems to sort of respawn or rather transfer its existence into one of the stronger existing Salus Origa of the same element anywhere on the planet. The Salus Origo is taken over by the personality and complete knowledge of the Forefather and quickly grows in strenght, size and power up to the point, that it becomes the same entity as before.
