Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Esther's wings resemble a common swift in both color and shape. She is an excellent flier, able to glide for long periods and one of the few angels who is more comfortable landing on the side of a building than on the ground.
Special abilities
Esther has a distinctive shrill scream which greatly resembles the call of a common swift. With practice and warm-up, she can temporarily deafen a specific group of targets without harming others around them.

Personal history
Esther was born near Galilee a few years before the birth of Jeshua. Her parents, one of the angelic daughters of Lucifer and Hana, and a fallen angel, kept her and her brother hidden for many years before allowing them to mix with human society. She joined the Samaritan people and eventually came across Jeshua at the well outside Sychar. They became fast friends, easily recognizing each other as fellow angels and Esther followed Jeshua around for the remainder of his ministry on Earth.
After Jeshua's ascension, Esther went on to explore other areas of the world. In the 1900s, she came to New York and settled in Manhattan in 1935, just before the events of the Second Fall and WWII. Given the state of society surrounding the fallen, Esther continued to live in secret and worked to help establish fallen help and homeless centers in Manhattan.
Esther was reunited with her maternal aunt, Rezebeth when Rezebeth came to New York to foster the nefilim rebellion in 1986. She helped Rezebeth establish cover identities for nefilim and fallen rebels and sheltered members of the rebellion on the run. Through the NYC cell, Esther also met Rishona and picked up the leadership of the rebellion after Rezebeth's death in 1997.

Esther came across Jeshua at a well outside Sychar. She is the historical basis for the "Samaritan woman at the well" from John 4:4-26, later named Photine in Eastern Christian traditions. The true conversation at the well was more playful and verbal sparring to out each other as free angels in hiding. After their private conversations, Esther followed Jeshua back to Galilee and acted as something of a body guard, frequently putting herself between the young Messiah and everything from needy human followers to aggressive Roman soldiers. They remained friends until the Crucifixion and Jeshua's Ascension.
