Alta Balinor is populated mostly with Aerlanni. However, Prytini healers are highly regarded and seen in numbers around the city. Other races mingle peacefully in the streets and alleys of Alta Balinor.
Government
Alta Balinor is the Capital of the Land of Balinor. It is an academic technocracy led by Lady Kervissalanta and the Council of Elders.
Defences
The men and women of the Balinor Guard, approximately 449 strong, keep the peace in Alta Balinor. All other countries know them to be the finest archers in the Six Realms.

Alta Balinor is led by 392 noble Families. The Families, in turn, band together according to interest into 14 Houses, each led by an Elder who sits on the Council. The only faction that is not a house is the Balinor Circle of Siojin, comprised of 695 apprentices, journeymen, adepts, and masters. The head of the Circle, Keeper Myriani, holds a seat on the Council.
Geography
Alta Balinor covers approximately 588 thousand sq. miles and sits at the natural conjunction of two mountain ranges, Mother's Tears and Athus Na Deireadh. To enter the Land of Balinor, one must either sail up the River Balinor in the west or cross the threshold of Alta Balinor in the east.
