Siojin Circles

"Those of the Path"
The Siojin Cicles are one of two magic-using organizations on An-Diadh.
Both Aerlan and Edan have the capacity for magic. When a child first shows any signs of magic, they are sent to the nearest Circle for evaluation and training.
Individual Siojin magic-users are know as Sions and use the honorific Sion.
Sion ranks are Keeper, Master, Adept, Artisan, and Apprentice
A Council of Sions controls the education methods to train new magic users and the placement of users in the Six Realms.
Circles are dedicated to the three Major Arcana; Water, Earth, Fire, and the three Minor Arcana; Wood, Metal, Air. Although the Sions can still channel Air, there is no known Air Circle. Most major cities have a Circle, ususally led by a Master. Only the leader of each of the five Arcane Circles are known as Keeper.
The Arcane Circles:
Ironwyn Circle (Ironwyn Keep) - led by Keeper Cilla (Water)
Golden Thorn Circle (Golden Thorn Woods) - led by Keeper Math (Earth)
Gahathalas Circle (Gahathalas Aerie) - led by Keeper Ikaros (Fire)
Xylen Circle (Elta Xylen) - led by Keeper Myriani (Wood)
Stolen Circle (Stolenstad) - led by Keeper Brecht (Metal)

Other Circles of note:
Balinor Circle (Elta Balinor) - led by Master Ouida. The Balinor Circle is the primary training Circle for most apprentices, and thus follows no one discipline.
