Reynaud Nel

Reynaud Nel is the archbishop of the Church of Harmony, overseeing the whole organisation from the lavish St Belus' Cathedral, the huge building dominating the Lightreach skyline. A veteran of the Avalyran army, he showed prodigious divine power from an early age, making a name for himself as a fearsome warrior. He quickly climbed the ranks, and soon began claiming his powers to be direct gifts from Imir. Leaving the army after a decade serving, Reynaud joined the church's paladin order. Within another two decades, he had risen to the heights of the church, becoming the archbishop. While the bishops before him had been men of the cloth, the aasimar styled himself as a 'man of the steel', and leads the church's military wing, The Illustrious. He takes to the field in golden plate armour, carrying a towering greatsword emblazoned with Lumir's sunrise. While not in battle, Reynaud dons flowing, gold trimmed robes, and is surrounded by a glowing aura at all times.
