Knightfall Forest

Knightfall Forest is wrapped in mystery from the outside. To those in the Empire it is a vast land that continues to grow, tended by the wood elves, and guarded by unruley and ferocious creatures. Stories of hags, giants, owlbears, and talking trees abond outside the magical forest.   To the people that call Knightfall Forest home it is a magical and wonderous place where they live lives that have unchanged over the last thousand years, since the rise of the other races and nation states.   The region is technically part of the empire but lives without much interferrence. Not only would it be difficult to control, the appellative name gives an indication of how the empire views the forest. That being said, the Elves and the council that manages it are happy to maintain good relationships with the Empire, if the humans are not at war they can be left alone. That does not mean that they love the laws of the empire, only that they desire to be able to pursue their own lives without interferrence of the humans. To this day, it appears they've gotten their wish. Accross the mountains they watch with treppidation the rise of a new cult inside the Shone Baret.   The Elves manage to keep their isolation high by ensuring that no roads are built into the forest and they keep to the centre, driving the most dangerous of animals and creatures out toward the edges.   Adventuring into Knightfall Forest is to welcome danger and the elusive beauty of a prestine forest, inhabited by some of the wisest and most reclusive of Amerielle's members.   All manner of creatures call the Knightfall forest home and denizens make up small nomadic tribes, roving bands, and minor settlements all accompanied by their own history and rule.
