It would be easy to dismiss the easy nature of the people of Graevode as simple, but that would be a mistake. They are as shrewd a people as any in Amerielle and are the only who have held good ties with nearly all the families of Amerielle. The Graevode are an area that includes Bern and the western most portion of the Kichwa. They have been ruled by the halfings of Grae, now known as Gray for as long as time is known. The isle is shaped slightly like a bear which leant the city to be renamed using the Halfling word for "Bern."
