Bern

"We crossed the ocean and never more than now did I feel as if I'd left the Empire and entered a new place. The people here, isolated on their island had little concern for the politics and the movements of the world beyond. They had their safety, they had their navy. They did not need anyone else. It was unsettling, it made me think they would watch we die if they were worried I'd get blood on their shoes." - Veto Rea, The First Imperial Representative to Bern.
