In Amare
Humans are the most common and widespread of all the humanoid races. They are a fierce race that while is not specialized in one category, they excel in many areas.
Description
Appearance
Humans are very similar to
The Tel'Fae. However, humans do not have the pointed years and delicate features that Elves do. They also tend to grow taller than Elves.
Biology
Humans are not as longed lived as some of the other humanoid species of Amare, rarely making it past a single century. It is unkown if it is the short lifespan or the fact that they are considered mature at the age of 16, but humans tend to reproduce much more than any of the other humanoid creatures.
Culture
Because Humans have separated themselves into all portions of Amare they have many different cultures. These cultures can be similar or highly different from others. From the Tropical cultures of the Independent Isles, to the Northern Ice cultures. Humans have truly separated themselves.
Because of this separation, humans are more frequently at war with themselves than with any other race. In fact most of the Age of Darkness was filled with wars between human cultures, which they call nations.
History
Origin
Humans, along with Dwarves, are the second oldest race in Amare. Near the end of the Age of Death, It was determined that the Armies of Light needed more warriors. Tantam Terrum, took the building blocks of the Elven people and created the Dwarven race. Prius Caelum took the same building blocks and created the Human race. While the human race did not live as long as Elves and Dwarves, and was not physically specialized like the other races, Humans were able to adapt and reproduce much quicker. Human scholars all agree that it was the birth of humanity that allowed the forces of light to defeat Perdiotus.
