Background: When sailors start their journeys, it is often with a prayer to the Tide Father. Ships count themselves lucky when The Tide Father's Fire guides them through stormy waters. It is a blessing bestowed by the god that all seafarers hold in awe. The Tide Father is also a violent god, waging war on the very earth itself where his domain meets it. He would love nothing more than to expand his domain.
His worshippers are loyal, though often seem to have a violent temper. They are passionate and will guide their own through the darkest times of their lives. Those that study his deepest secrets learn that the matter and energy are interconnected, just like the waves of the ocean.
Holy symbol: an anchor pendant, stylized with barnacles or other sea life or a wave set in relief, crashing a rocky shore.
