The Tarot of Forgotten Ages are a deck of cards created by the goddess
Tymora. The deck forms a major arcana tarot set.
The Tarot of Forgotten Ages can be used as a major arcana for any purposes you might come up with, but the names of the cards are not an exact match for tarot decks used on Amanor today. However, the most notable usage for the cards is to invoke primordial magics as described below.
Drawing from the deck
As an action, you can announce the use of this ability whenever the deck is on your person (you do not need to hold it in hand). Powerful magic then takes hold of the deck, immediately shuffling it and preventing you from manipulating it with sleight of hand.
You then decide whether you wish to be dealt one or two cards. The top card or two top cards of the deck will then magically appear in your hand. A supernatural effect will immediately be resolved, depending on the card or cards you were dealt. See the table on the next page for descriptions. After resolving the effect of a card, the card teleports to the bottom of the deck. After resolving all effects, your turn continues as normal. The magics that controlled the deck dissipate.
After using this ability, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.
