Mag Mell

The Mag Mell is a unique phenomena where a "path" of light is created on a body of water. This path can be followed to a variety of effects, most practically allowing Windships to ascend and descend from the surface into the sky. Mag Mell can also be used to pierce through the Veil to enter areas of Bleed or even other planes of existence, such as Old Elfriche or Mag Mor.

Manifestation

Mag Mell is a phenomenon where the rising or setting sun makes a shimmering "path" along the water, resembling a road to the celestial body. The colour, brightness and size of this is largely dependent upon atmospheric conditions, but is typically white, gold or red.
A similar event can occur, in rare circumstances, with the moon. The "path" created there can be silver, blue or in rare cases, red.
