Social

Reign

Drogon's father, Alan Varvek had ended the Fomorian Interregnum of Hastings Fireforged, driving the Viking host from Naoned and Gwened, and retaking the Peninsula. Drogon, a minor at the time of his father's death, ascended the ducal throne under a regency, first directed by the Kont de Blaez, then by Fulk II, Dug of Anjev.   Drogon's reign was an unsteady one, balancing the ravaged and bankrupt Duchy between the holdout forces of Hastings Fireforged, and the machinations of his father's former allies, such as the Stormlords of the Penn-ar-Bed, Fulk II of Anjev and the Gallian Crown.

Death of the Princeling.

Into the precarious situation entered the devious manipulator Konan "The Crooked" I of the House of Roazhon. Roazhon had largely been spared direct destruction by the Viking forces, despite frequent raids, and had emerged as the de facto home of the Lethan Court during the Interregnum. Seeing his power being stolen away by the House of Naoned, Konan conspired with Fulk of Anjev to arrange the removal of the Kont de Blaez, Fulk becoming regent, and then the poisoning of the Dug himself.   With Drogon's death, his bastard half-brother, Hoel I assumed the throne. Ultimately, the young Drogon was poisoned by Fulk, allowing the Anjevin backed Hoel I, Drogon's bastard half-brother to assume the throne.
