Personal history
Born in Kernev, he was expelled by his cousin, King Maxreni and forced to flee to Albia. Shortly after his coronation, King Maxreni is killed by his brother Rivod in an argument. Rivod mutilates Maxreni's son, Maelor, rendering him ineligible for the throne under the tradition that a claimant must be physically undamaged, seizing the throne. Rivod, in turn is poisoned by Erich, who is ousted by Budig II, returning from Albia and executed. The tumultuous beginning of Budig's reign was a portend of things to come.
Ascending to the throne, Budig's hold of the Northern Ar Mor was immediately threatened. A powerful Dragon emerged near Dol, wreaking havoc on ships and coastal settlements, before launching an all out attack on Landreger, forcing Budig to call for aid from outside his kingdom. After a decade of peace, the region was struck by the Yellow Plague, further devastating the region.
The rise of Conomor the Cursed puts an end to Budig's control of Breizh. He is kept on as a puppet until Conomor's defeat at Relec, then assassinated by Macliau, the Bishop of Gwened.
