Structure
Asturias is a loose confederation of Bediz settlements located along the Southern (Whitewind) coast of the Pleg-mor Gwaskogn, under the nominal control of the Markiz of Asturias, a position appointed by the King of Navarra. Despite this position, most control falls to local towns and villages. Control usually centers on a settlement or collection of them, as a sphere of influence around them over agricultural lands, edge forest and major roads. Between these, the lands are functionally lawless.
The Markiz maintains some presence along the main road, the camino de conchas that stretches along the length of the March, as well as larger trading ports, but most direct control is focused on the capital of Izareremua.

The March of Asturias is a colonized region of small villages along the Northern Coast of the Shatterlands, under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Navarre.
