Lali Crimson: The Snow Hunter

The Snow Loscath

Lali Crimson

Dear William,
I have recently had a session with Lali Crimson as you have requested. It didn't take much to convince her to have the session since she had things to get off her chest. However, I have no doubt that she knows this was because of the recent incident with ShadowRiver. She's far smarter and observant than you give her credit for.

Lali is of the strongest members of the Hunters, even compared to our more veteran members. It's undoubtedly related to her past and how she has seen decades of combat from the far north to Nataka and even your home of Oterra. You were there during the Oterran Rebellion and you most likely understand how important she is to our cause. But her presence as a Warrior isn't the only important factor. Lali believes in our cause as much as Ventus does, if not more.

She wants to help people no matter who they are. Her drive for that could lead to bad situations but she doesn't care. You may see this as a disadvantage but this could aid us more than you know. She can be a symbol for us, for the Hunters. However, she can not be that if you strip her of the Warrior rank. She did her duty and brought down a killer. Abavale saw this and the King has heard this. In fact, she is the reason why the King has continued to allow the Hunters. I implore you to consider your actions wisely since losing an amazing Hunter such as this will be a failure felt for years.

Your friend,   Ciel Goldspire
— Report on Lali Crimson addressed to William Mavis, 1221 DY

Lali Crimson, a hybrid of Devil and Dragon origin, is one of the top Hunters in Abavale. Working alongside prestigious Hunters like Ventus Lumine and Ciel Goldspire, she works hard to protect the innocent from the encroaching horde of monsters that are at civilization's doorstep. Failure isn't in her dictionary and she's willing to risk life and limb to do her duty as a Hunter.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Lali is built, thanks to her career as a mercenary. She has a balance between a curvy form and a muscular build.

Body Features

Lali has icy blue skin, appearing as an average Ice Devil if not for her draconic pupils. She also has a thin and devilish tail that's 5 feet long and horns that curve out of her forehead. When she enters her Loscath form, scales as white as snow cover her entire body like a protective shell. She has several scars gotten from her career as a hunter and fun times that entered in a brawl. The scars are as such:
  • A diagonal cut that crosses her abdomen
  • Several cuts of medium length littered across her back
  • A deeper cut where she was stabbed in the right side during a bar fight
  • A horizontal scar across the bridge of her nose that stops under the center of her eyes.
  • A vertical scar that starts next to her right eyebrow and descends to her cheek

Facial Features

Lali has rounded features much to her chargin. However, her scars make up for that, amplifying her badass image in her eyes.

Identifying Characteristics

  • Scars that become increasingly noticeable when her scales cover her body
  • Her white scales
  • Draconic eyes
  • Her height is rather massive for a Devil

Physical quirks

  • Dominant hand: Right hand
  • Her tail has a habit of showing her emotions.
  • She uses her tail to carry objects or get her what she needs if it's close by.

Special abilities

Thanks to her devil ancestry, Lali is a prodigy at ice magic, casting higher level spells with ease without draining much of her Aecho. Her talent has gotten so good she's able to make objects in quick succession with her powers, at one point making a giant chunk of ice to slide along. Her skill with it can't be denied even by the better Hunters she knows.

She also can call upon her Loscath bloodline to have dragon scales grow over her body. She usually keeps the white scales on her hands to have easier access to her talons and the like. Thanks to her dragon blood, her strength is increased as is her durability. She can dish a hit out as hard as she can take it and she's not one for holding back against her enemies.

Apparel & Accessories

A common part of Lali's outfits is a necklace she wears. It shows the North Star, the brightest start in the north when she was born. It's the only thing they found on her when she left at the orphanage.

Specialized Equipment

Armor

Lali wears Warrior Hunter gear just like the rest of the Warrior branch. However, she had the master smith Eligius do modifications for her gear. The torso armor is made out of wyvern scales, a tough material that provides decent protection, even more so when backed up by her scales. The sleeves of it go down to her wrists before cutting off, being met by fingerless gloves. Her pants are made from enchanted gossamer, webbing produced by Arachni and their ilk with great durability and elasticity. Her feet are covered by combat boots she loves wearing. The color scheme is blue and black.

Weapons

She has two longswords made from dantine, made for her personally by Eligius as a welcoming gift from the Hunters. They were custom made to fit her height and fighting style. They also have a chain connected between them, letting her restrain someone with them. Lali also has a dagger lined with Cato, a sharp material that lets her carve monsters as either a trophy to show for her reward or monster materials to give to Eligius.

Gear and Trinkets

Lali has a black travel cloak that she uses frequently while traveling. Along with that is a badge that signifies her as a Hunter. It has a dragon red as blood with two swords crossing behind it, forming an X. A fiery flag goes across the top that reads, "The First and Last of Abavale".

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Lali doesn't know much about her parents, only that her father was a Snow Devil and mother a Loscath. This was a curiosity to many around her since Loscath are extremely uncommon in the north. That should've made it easy to know who the father was but that was far from the case. So Lali grew up at Radiance Orphanage with 3 friends: Garatak the Minotaur, Lei the Snow Devil, and Kanzel, a human from one of the many Nedane tribes in the north. The four of them were troublesome around the orphanage, playing many pranks on the staff and children. Everyone just put up with it and others found their pranks quite enjoyable.

However, there was a damper in Lali's childhood. When she was 5 years old, she felt a burning sensation in her feet and hands. A few days later, white scales grow on her limbs and spread all over her body over the next few days. At the same times, her eyes changed from the natural pupils that many species have to the slit eyes akin to a dragon. This was the first major instance of Lali's Loscath side coming out and far from the last. Her scales seemed to be a permanent fixture until she was 13 years old, around the time her tail grew. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst part. Her bones and muscle had to adapt to this new weight, especially since she was just entering her growth spurt phase. At first, it was overwhelming pain that made her unable to even move some days. No one knew what was going on with her and believed it was some sickness. As her body adjusted to the pain and the transformations, everyone soon dismissed it. Only her close friends knew what was really going on with her. Not that they could ever do anything about it.

The appearance of her Loscath side was a shock to Radiance. Afterall, Loscath were uncommon and half-breed children of them were rare. This pushed people away from Lali though she didn't care one bit. She had her friends and that was all she really needed. As the four of them reached adulthood, they stayed close and even lived together as they attempted to survive on their own. Lali was 18 at the time since she was the youngest of the group and the last to leave Radiance Orphanage.

It wasn't a shock when the foursome took to the idea of being mercenaries. In 1190, Wintervale started leading expeditions into the North. However, these were attempts to "help" the local populace. The monster pandemic caused by the Demon War had spread to Lali's home and Wintervale wanted to help them get rid of them. That gave Lali and her friends a steady source of income. For eight years, they slaughtered countless monsters across the North but it was Wintervale who received the credit for this. She didn't care as long as they kept supplying the fights and diamonds. In the group, she was a heavy hitter but thanks to her Loscath side, she could take some hits too if need be. She complimented well with Garatak and the two of them had a casual physical relationship during their time as monster hunters. Lali's time as a northern hunter soon came to an end, though.

On the 25th of Summer's Rise, 1198, major monster hunters across the North were contracted to deal with a nest of wyverns that had been found after a scouting party went missing. Lali held some reservations since they were related to her but money was money so she went along with her friends. When they reached the location, the hunters found the nest burnt and destroyed along with every egg there being smashed. It looked like the nest had been this way for at least a few days. While they investigated the nest, Lali caught the scent of Wintervale soldiers she had come across many times during her employment under them. She only had the moment to notify her friends before the trap was sprung. 3 regiments of the Wintervale Snow Guard came from hidden locations and attacked the hunters.

These were men who trained to defend their city from any threats, whether they be monsters or people. Needless to say, that battle was a slaughter. Lali saw people she fought alongside fall left and right around her. It seemed like a hopeless fight for them but Lali couldn't accept that. She snapped, whether it was from the strong scent of blood or her comrades dying around her. Animalistic urges that she kept buried rose to the surface as she adorned her white scales.

Those beautiful scales were painted with the blood of her enemies as she slaughtered the Snow Guard in her rage. They stood no chance against her and the surviving hunters, especially since none of them had ever faced a Loscath before. They heard stories and trained for a possibility but it was nothing like this. The soldiers did what they set out to do before their gruesome end though. 1/3 of the hunters who took that contract returned. Lali almost joined the 2/3 due to her injuries before her rampage. When she passed out after the battle, it was only due to the quick rescue by her friends that she was able to survive.

During her recovery, Wintervale was quick to use the massacre to their advantage. They spread news about the Northern Massacre where hunters and Wintervale soldiers fought side by side against a horde of wyvern. Only to be cut down by an insane Loscath with snow white scales. They even had a survivor who claimed to see the butchery and barely escaped with his life. Wintervale swore to hunt down this murderer and any who supported her. Word spread fast and it wasn't long before people connected the dots between Lali and the murderous Loscath. She had to leave her home if she or her friends had any chance to survive. It almost broke her to leave anything behind but she knew it had to be done. It wasn't just for her but for the safety of her friends after all. Lali went east to Nataka, leaving her homeland - all she had ever known - when she was 28.

Far from her home and without anyone, Lali had never felt more alone. She tried to remedy this through hunting but no one wanted to hire her. Why would they when there was the Order of Alexius that had protected Nataka for centuries? This didn't give Lali many options and the reality of her situation weighed down on her. She slowly made her way south, essentially moving from tavern to tavern. Nataka was saturated with mercenaries as well, leaving the hybrid with no work and nothing to do. If it weren't for her Loscath blood, Lali would've drank herself to death as the bottle was the only comfort in her life at that point. She was losing her will and there didn't seem to be a way out for her. That was until she met Hazel, a Veldas, or shapeshifter as many humans called her kind. She was an adventurer and recently came to Nataka in search of something new. It wasn't hard for her to tell that Lali was in search of the same thing and tried to convince her to come along. The northerner didn't see any harm in the idea and agreed.

No longer alone, Lali turned into her old self again. The misadventures that she and Hazel got into gave her a rush. The Veldas showed her the nightlife of major cities such as Sielen. The two became fast friends as they traveled across Nataka and even going into Oterra. That... was an experience since Lali's last exposure to Humans were people from Wintervale: stuck up humans who tried to kill her and her friends. Hazel even tried to paint humans that way as they took a ship to the west. Landing in Abavale shattered that mindset, especially since it was the most diverse city in Oterra. Every single species known to Faterra existed in this place and it was treated as an everyday occurance. No one cared. Well, there were a few that did but they weren't the majority. Lali wasn't an outcast in Abavale just like back home and she definitely wanted to stay there. Hazel agreed since it was a great hub for their adventures and she was a big fan of the Tankavin district or Demon district as some humans said. The duo flourished and grew closer to the point where they began a relationship.

Abavale became a permanent home for Lali after 1200. Unfortunately, she chose a time where Oterra was the most tense. The monster epidemic had gotten far worse in Oterra than it had in the north. With no official organization of Hunters like Nataka, Oterra had to rely on mercenaries who charged a lot of money for their services. A new organization was born to push back: the Hunters. Many racists joined this group as a way to get back at the creatures who "corrupted" Oterra: namely Aslandailians and Salamanders.

Thankfully, they were based in Western Oterra and many vocal humans were pro non-humans in Abavale. However, the hunt for Salamanders triggered the ire of Kadem who was all too ready to wage war with Oterra if they didn't get rid of the Hunters. Nataka also announced that they would come to Kadem's aid if Oterra went to war with them. So with war on the horizon, Oterra capitulated and got rid of the Hunters. However, that shattered the unity of Oterra. Many towns and minor lords rose in rebellion against the Crown across the west and the north. Tabershire's lord was murdered by the rebels and Wintervale was split between rebels and Loyalist. In 1202, the Oterran Rebellions began.

As much as Lali wanted to go to Wintervale and cut down rebels as revenge for the massacre, she wasn't a fan of joining the war. This was especially since Wintervale was on the side of the Crown. She definitely didn't want to support them. However, she didn't want to sit around while innocent people were in danger. So she chose the next best thing: being a mercenary. She joined a group that had been hired to protect refugees that were pouring in from the north and west. Hazel was against this as she didn't want Lali risking her life to save humans. The hybrid was adamant about going but she made a promise that she'd come back alive.

The north was the easier job of the two as the mercs had some support from Wintervale and Abavale. Lali was completely disgusted that she had to work with them but she accepted it to help the innocent people. She had some fun as she got to kill any Wintervale rebels that attacked. This is where she earned her title, Dragon of the North, as she used her Loscath form to slaughter the rebels. She expected the refugees to fear her for what they saw but they congratulated her, treated her as a hero. It was a stark contrast to what she believed Wintervale people would be like. Though, she didn't get much time to think about it as her group was reassigned to help refugees in the West.

The reason why Wintervale was much easier came down to one simple fact: Wintervale was split between loyalists and rebels, giving a chance for aid. Tabershire was nothing like that. With the lord gone, it had fallen completely under rebel control and they would rather die than let it go. Guerilla tactics were common and they attacked civilians more than the Wintervale rebels since they saw them as traitors. All of her missions were a nightmare as countless people died around her. Lali couldn't find satisfaction like she could in Wintervale. Not with all this death. Countless comrades died around her and Lali nearly died many times. She even saved a knight from Abavale called William several times, which he would repay in the future. By the end of the rebellion, Lali's enjoyment had been weathered down. She came home tired in 1204. Tired but not broken as many other veterans were when they went home. If they went back home.

Lali was happy to be back to Abavale, especially back to Hazel. She spent months recuperating by spending time with her. However, Hazel didn't want to just stay in Abavale. Afterall, she was an adventurer. She wanted new things, especially when it came to places. She tried to reason that 4 years in the city was long enough so they should go to another place. When reason failed her, she turned to manipulation. That was the line for Lali. This wasn't the first time either. There were several notable moments where Hazel convinced her through manipulation. She never noticed because of her relationship with Hazel. However, this was different. Lali had spent 2 years away from her and as such, began to contemplate their relationship. Slowly but sure, she noticed what was really going on behind the scenes. The argument they had didn't help either. Hazel tried to say that they should leave Oterra because they needed to get away from humans.

The racial tensions that caused the rebellion were the biggest example for her. To Lali, that seemed like that they were abandoning the people. While fighting out there, Lali realized how no different humans were from her or her friends. They had faults which were made abundantly clear from her entire life but they had good qualities too. Fighting alongside her reminded her of that. So the idea that humans were some kind of monster and they should abandon innocent people because of that hit Lali. It also opened her eyes about what type of person Hazel was. She was manipulative and just as bad as those humans who wish to stomp on non-humans. That was someone she couldn't be with. So their relationship ended on bad terms. Hazel left heated comments to try and hurt Lali's core before leaving Abavale. It hurt that it happened but in the long term, Lali was better for it.

With Hazel gone, Lali was free from her influence. She spent that time helping people, sometimes for pay and others for nothing in return. She also spent time relaxing and having fun as she made friends with people such as Lucian Tenebrae who showed her more of the fun side of Abavale just like Hazel used to. When the Crown decided to resurrect the Hunters in 1218, she and Lucian leapt at the chance to join. That name had been sullied in the past due to horrible people but they could make it better. At least, that's what Lali thought. That's what she planned to do. It wasn't hard for her to join, especially since her old commander, William, was leading the Hunters.

She joined the Warrior branch in 1218. She was one of the first Hunters to complete a contract, heading out to a small town called Whitespire. There, she met a teenager named Karim who seemed to be quite interested in the Hunters. Despite some people joking about him being a good blacksmith, she encouraged him. In the end, she even gave him her badge, telling him to give it back should he come and join us. Until then, he could keep as a souvenir. After she killed the orges infested near that small town, she wouldn't see him for some time.

Before that, she made a name for herself in 1221 when she faced off against Nier ShadowRiver, an assassin who was paid to do a killing spree across Abavale. When she went after him, he decided to toy with her and make a fool of her. If it wasn't for Ventus, a fellow Hunter and member of the Alexius Order, she could've died. Her battle against Nier led to her being very upset when he was impressed into the Hunters. However, she grew to deal that and even fought alongside Nier a few times. Now, she works with him and other new Hunters to deal with monsters as a stronger variant of chimera begin bearing down on her home.

Education

Lali was given a basic education in her childhood thanks to Radiance Orphanage, learning how to read, write, and even basic math and history. She was self taught after that.

Accomplishments & Achievements

  • Lali figured out how to use two swords without breaking something or cutting herself.
  • Lali and her friends killed over 200 monsters during her time as a monster hunter in the north.
  • Nier's capture is a well-known fact around the Hunters and people still admire her for being able to do so. She makes a habit to hang it over Nier's head as well to piss him off.
  • Lali's time helping refugees has always been a source of pride. The memories of the people she saved and their extreme gratitude always brings a smile to a her face and pushes her to keep going.

Failures & Embarrassments

  • Lali has always felt bad about being unable to save the other hunters during the massacre. If she had just triggered that maddening rage before then they could've been saved. Or she should've realized that it was a trap earlier. Her friends tried to persuade her that it wasn't her fault but it never worked.
  • Lali's inability to save enough refugees is always a source of failure in her eyes. No matter how many lives she saved, she sometimes wonders about how she could've saved the rest.
  • Despite her affection for Hazel, Lali wishes that she noticed how manipulative she was from the beginning. She has thoughts about what if she was able to "fix" Hazel but those are quickly dismissed.
  • Lali hates how Ventus had to assist her in the battle against Nier. It's part of the reason why she treats him badly other than the fact he's a complete asshole.

Mental Trauma

  • Despite all the lives she saved, Lali's haunted by the deaths she believed she caused. The massacre was the first and tortured her with sleepless nights during her time in Nataka. It wasn't until she was with Hazel that it began to fade away. The Oterran Rebellions didn't help things as she saw countless innocents and ocmrades die around her, especially in Tabershire. Nightmares are a common attribute of her night and it even leads to her not getting enough sleep. She tries to hide it though as she doesn't want anyone to worry.

Intellectual Characteristics

Lali is a very observant person, her senses adding that. When she first meets people, she takes note of how they act whether it be their mannerisms, their speech pattern, or their outfit. It has added her many times in discerning friends from foes and potential problems before they become a headache. She mainly developed this after her time with Hazel so her observations can be wrong and off.

Morality & Philosophy

Lali is very pragmatic in terms of killing. She understands that she may have to end lives to save others. However, there is a deep belief that she should save as many innocent lives as possible even at the cost of her own life. She has become rather desperate to save people in that regard even when it would be better to let some die.

Taboos

  • Manipulations
  • Killing innocent people
  • Judging someone by their race instead of who they are as person

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

  • Lali wants to help innocent people, simple as that. The major way she wants to do that is to deal with the monster pandemic that has been going on forcenturies.
  • However, she also wants to spread the idea that Aslandailians shouldn't feel bad for being who they are. Anti-Aslandailian sentiment isn't something unknown for her but the idea that the next generations are to blame for what their ancestors did is asinine to her. They need to stand up for themselves and stop taking shit from other people, especially humans. However, she doesn't want them to turn into zealots and start killing innocent people because not all humans are doing this.
  • The troubles back home are something that hasn't gone unnoticed by Lali. Fucking up their plans or the people leading them would something fun to do in her eyes.
  • Much to her chagrin, Lali wants to find her parents. It's not to get to know them but mainly for answers. While's she happy with the life she had, the curiosity keeps getting to her and she just wants an answer to why she was abandoned and what happened to them. Oh and maybe to lash out if they're horrible people.

Virtues & Personality perks

  • If there's one thing that fits her perfect, it's that Lali's got a big heart. She cares deeply about people, especially her friends who she can see as a family sometimes.
  • Loyalty is in short supply and alliances can be fickle but if Lali trusts someone, they have her support 100%.
  • Lali is an extreme people person, thanks to her time with people like Hazel and Lucian.
  • Thanks to her decades of combat, Lali has great combat experience. She's proven to be a valuable asset to the Hunters because of that.

Vices & Personality flaws

  • Lali still has anger issues to work out, getting quite heated when something happens that she isn't a fan of. It has caused quite a few fights and a lot of the injuries in that fight. It's even caused her to get reckless and get injured herself. It isn't paired well with her easily frustrated nature.
  • Though her expressiveness can be a boon, it has proven to be a headache when she's too expressive. That has been an issue with species such as the Kentori or Felvin who are sensitive to the expressiveness of the people they talk to. Lali ran into trouble with this several times when she first met Ciel.
  • Lali's love of combat has gotten to an extreme level. It doesn't help the fact that she has a slight bloodlust to deal with as well. She's learned to control this impulse but it burst out at random times when the chance for a fight is just too great.

Personality Quirks

  • Sweet tooth
  • Snacks a lot
  • Uses her powers on little things: freezing whatever object's in her hand or just cooling down her hands

Hygiene

Lali keeps herself clean, especially since she likes looking nice. This is aided by the fact that she has her own personal hot spring, hidden away from prying eyes and unknown to anyone else.

Social

Contacts & Relations

  • Garatak: A Minotaur from the North who Lali grew up with. They used to be friends with benefits before she left the North but it never got farther than that. They were great friends and it wouldn't be wrong to state he had some influence on why she loves fighting so much.
  • Kanzel: A Human from the North. Kanzel was a bit of a hardass at first from Lali's point of view. He was a natural leader of the group though and she enjoyed being under his command. Kanzel was the one who gave Lali the necklace before she was forced to leave. A gift to remember them by. She hopes to see him again before he passed away, especially since it's been almost 3 decades since they've seen each other.
  • Lei: An Ice Devil who was an older sister for Lali. She could always count on Lei to patch the group up and give encouragement if need be. She was the heart of the group in Lali's eyes. The two had a tearful goodbye when she had to leave but Lali swore she would return someday. She hopes to keep that going.

Social Aptitude

Lali is very extroverted, seeking lots of late night fun in the Demon District. She speaks with utmost confidence in herself whether it's body, soul, or ability. Lali acts very casual but it's always mixed with respect. She's willing to be the first to give respect but if she isn't met with it, Lali throws that out the window until they prove themselves worthy of her respect again. For people like Nier or pompous nobility, they don't get the luxury of her respect. They receive sarcasm, insults, and biting remarks with no amount of regret over saying it.

Hobbies & Pets

  • Parties in the Demon District most nights
  • Loves drinking, especially since it takes very strong drinks to get her drunk
  • Always trains to keep her muscle and skill
  • No matter what, having fun is always something Lali is willing to do.
  • Speaking of having fun, nothing is more fun for her than monster hunting. It's the best career choice and hobby she could ever have.

Speech

Lali's voice is laid back and casual. When she's in her Loscath form, it gains a certain timber to it but not enough to make her sound completely different. When she gets angry, it isn't uncommon for her voice to reach that level. Her natural voice is in her Snow Devil side which the majority of people see. Lali used to have a northern accent and it even comes out when she gets angry or very excited. Her normal accent is a mixture of an Oterran accent and a northern accent, giving her a mesh of terms to choose. Swears are quite common for Lali when she gets excited or enraged, the latter resulting in a flurry of curse words and insults sent against whoever pissed her off or whoever she can vent to or at.

History

Lali was the first Hunter Karim ever met and despite the fact that she was a non-human, Karim thought she was a good example of a Hunter. The fact that she stuck up for him even though they just met and also helped him in a time of great trauma has made her seem like a worthy ally. Add in the fact that she supported him when he faced off against Nier and Karim thinks she could be a friend someday. If he ever gets over the fact that she's an Aslandailian.

Relationship Reasoning

Karim's Reasoning

Lali stood up for Karim when she could've let him fend off the guild thugs alone. She was encouraging to him when he was dealing with the fact that he most likely killed someone and later on when he had to fight Nier who outclassed him in every way possible.

Lali's Reasoning

Karim has the potential to become a great Hunter if he can temper his skill. She isn't a fan of his blatant racism but she knows that he isn't doing it on person. She hopes to help him become a great Hunter and show him how non-humans are different than what Whitespire townsfolk have told him.

History

When Ventus and Lali first met, he didn't have much of an opinion on her. He heard of her beforehand since many stories of her mercenary work in the Oterran Rebellion. Though, he did see her as a valuable member of the Hunters, especially during their first Hunts. When the Hunters were being organized even more, she volunteered to help train any new recruits. Through that and her hard work, she became a valuable part of the Hunters and gained Ventus's respect.   They were the first Hunters to operate as well, heading to Whitespire and killing the orges there. Afterward, they worked hand in hand to make sure the Hunters grow as a fruitful group. It was the two of them taht took down Nier Shadowriver and subsequently forced to accept him into the Hunters. Despite their split viewpoint on him, Ventus was able to convince her that he could be valuable. Up to the current day, they have been a good duo that strive to push the Hunters to further glory.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

They were both mercenaries and monster Hunters before they joined the Hunters of Abavale in Nataka, having seen its wonder and splendor. While Abavale is more of a home to Lali than to Ventus, they both enjoy the city and see it as an example of unity amongst the Faterrans.   They both want to protect the innocent, wanting to protect them no matter what but Lali is known to temper Ventus when his selflessness might get too extreme.

Shared Acquaintances

Ciel Goldspire. Both of them are friends and confidant to Ciel since she will have a habit of checking on them to make sure they're physically able and emotionally stable. However, it's not all work between the three of them since Lali has been known to pull them both into leisure activities more so it's not always work and no play for them.   Nier Shadowriver. Lali and Ventus were the two who took down Nier during his rampage through Abavale in 1221. They weren't exactly happy when William conscripted him into the Hunters but they were forced to put up with it. Ventus has been more amicable than Lali though in that case.   Lucian Tenebrae. Now, this is a person who the two have different opinions on. While Ventus does see his value, he doesn't enjoy Lucian's jokester nature and could do without it, especially in serious moments. Lali's gotten used to it and often joins him in his jokes should the situation call for it. But at the end of the day, he's someone they're both willing to rely on.

History

I and Lali were both mercenaries and party animals back before the Rebellion. We met through Hazel who she was dating at the time and we hit it off pretty well. We fought side by side a few times during the war though I didn't get to talk much to her at that time. Afterward, Hazel suddenly up and left with Lali staying behind which said as it was.

Nicknames & Petnames

She called me Lucy at some point as a joke. Wasn't that bad of a nickname but I'll never tell her that.

Relationship Reasoning

We've seen some shit, we kick ass together, and we drink together. If not for the fact I know that she's still dealing with the whole Hazel thing, I'd try to get with her. But I don't really care about that, I'm good with being her friend.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

We're both Hunters who kick and take names. Not much can get in our way when we work together since we're death machines on the battlefield. At least I like to think so by the way. We both like to drink and party still but I think she's waned on that since she's a lot more responsible than I am at this point.

Shared Acquaintances

  • Venny - Boss, great guy with a stick up his ass but he makes sure I get paid so I can't complain.
  • Nier - Asshole who tried to kill Ventus and Lali. Kinda getting used to him but I always feel like he's thinking about ways to kill us when he keeps to himself.
  • Ciel - Stellar personality, bit too professional for me. Kinda curious what's under that mask she wears all the time though.
  • Fari - Cute girl, great with a bow. Her boyfriend kinda puts me off though.
  • Alex - This guy always looks like he wants to split me and Lali in half and not in a good way. I see a lot of hate in his eyes when he sees people like us and I definitely don't trust him.

Wealth & Financial state

Lali's time as a mercenary and monster hunter has resulted in her getting a considerable amount of funds. She doesn't throw money away like she used to with Hazel but sometimes, Lali just wants to spend more than she usually does.
