Mythallar

Mythallar are enormous crystalline structures that are placed in and around the Citadel. They are the means by which magic is regulated and controlled within the school's grounds. They are variously embedded in the walls, ceilings, floors, or set out as artistic pieces. Each mythallar is one meter in diameter and glows with a steady blue-white light. Their facets seem to compound in on themselves infinitely; as one looks at the mythallar, one becomes more and more sure that the distinction between the faces should cause the outside to curve in on itself. This effect is disorienting and can cause nausea (DC 12 Fort save or subject is nauseated for 2 minutes).
The method for creating mythallar is not currently understood. While new mythallar can be constructed by the artificers at the Citadel, they are simply following the instructions left behind by the original creator.

These are required for the regulation and control of magic in and around The Citadel.
