Hel
Hel is the Norse goddess of death, though she is not recognized as such in any myth or Norse text. The title is more by default than official.
She is often described as half-living, half dead. She is the daughter of Loki and sister of Fenrir and Jörmungandr.

The Chains That Bind Excerpt
Her skin was ebony, like charred carcasses, and ivory, like the flesh of a new corpse. Each color flowed around the other, constantly moving across her skin like a kaleidoscope of light and shadow.
Where the black stayed for more than an instant, the flesh began to peel back as if burned or rotted away, exposing muscle and bone underneath it. When the white flowed where the flesh was gone, it grew back, writhing like maggots.
Despite the horror of her ever-transforming skin, the woman was beautiful. Her hair fell in lush inky black locks that transformed into white spider silk. Her eyes were dark pools of sorrow.
