Fenrir
Fenrir (a.k.a. Garmr ("Old Rag"))
We knew that the wolf would one day be a part of a series of events that would lead to Ragnarok. His nature would be that of destruction and death.Fenrir is the wolf-like son of Loki, destined to kill Odin during the battle at Ragnarök. Because of this, he was chained by Tyr using Gleipnir. His sister, Hel, watches over him in his captivity. Fenrir's escape from Gleipnir is one of the precedent signs of the coming of Ragnarök.

The Chains That Bind Excerpt
The beast was hardly a wolf. Even calling it wolf-like was a stretch. But there was nothing else in my experience that would describe it so well.
The legs were too long and thick, the tail too short. Its muzzle was longer, broader, and its teeth were just too much of everything. Too many, too big, too sharp, too deadly.
The creature had yellow eyes that flashed red in the shadows. Huge teeth filled an elongated jaw, and its fur flared in a ruff around its neck in shades of black.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Fenrir was raised by the Æsir, especially by Tyr, until his size caused concern. Tyr used the trust he had gained with Fenrir to convince him to allow Gleipnir be placed on his neck. Tyr placed his hand into Fenrir's mouth to show that he would allow Fenrir to be released after testing the chain. Tyr knew he was lying and allowed Fenrir to take his hand as a kind of Wergild.
