Jeqari Osaahd

Jeqari Osaahd is a wandering scholar, recording things of interest on their travels around the world. As everything and nothing is new and the same, they believe history must be recorded and preserved, to provide others insight into the most accurate blips of history. They love to record the little things because they are just as important as the big things. Fascinated and curiosity-driven, they decide to travel to the warring peninsula and learn what they can before it's destroyed and gone.

Growing up Hilael on the island of Seshat El Medin, their faith was strong in Deshret and not so strong in the other inferior powers that be. Their mother and father were both devouts as well, instilling those beliefs into them at a very young age. With their parents persuading them to join the military with the glory of being a religious warrior hero, Jeqari quickly learned that they are not well suited for fighting. When they attended a combat trial to become one of many of Deshret's soldiers, they slipped and fell, piercing their side on the end of their opponent's spear. They get a little nauseous after seeing blood spill, and have vowed themself to pacifism ever since. Instead, they joined the university on the island, where they lean into their discovered love of education and learning. Although fighting was never their strongest suit, learning about it was. They are fascinated by magic, and even learned a little bit in alchemy lectures they audited. They learned that they love being a historian, a notetaker, and a scribe. As they got older, they realized that there was much more to the world than just Deshret; so they left Seshat El Medin, accompanying a group of traveling merchants heading east to the mainland, and became a free-wandering scribe at the age of eighteen.

Since then, they've been running around Mahka Nata talking with Adairian alchemists about their elixir, discussing the grandeur of mountain terrace farms with Wakatakte farmers, and examining the relationship between Madhiba and its residents. They dedicate their life to recording facts of varying levels of interest and value in hopes that it'll either be needed or bring joy.
