Personal history
Maxeena Tandenzel was born in A4 189 in the Spine Peaks. Maxeena’s family was part of a group of nomadic kors that traversed the mountains and fields between the empire and dominion. Max’s childhood was filled with exploration, adventure, and meeting many different people and creatures. When Maxeena was 12 her group met some wizards from Shimmerford while traveling close to Revendell. The wizards traded with the group and Max learned about the school and the magic the wizards could do. Her interest peaked and she wanted to learn magic more than anything else. She asked her parents if she could go with them to enlist to Shimmerford and they agreed.
Maxeena’s time at Shimmerford was the best part of her life, she got many friends, learned magic, and found an interest in writing and documenting. She picked up the school of abjuration easier than the others so she became quite proficient at the art. When Maxeena turned 24 she had mastered the 5th circle of magic and her reputation at the school had made her quite well known. But the wanderlust of her people started to set in and she made her decision to travel the world and document creatures, races, and monsters to educate people about what lives in the world with them.
Over the next decade, Maxeena explored the continent studying, talking, and living with different races, monsters, and animals. She documented their culture, behavior, and sometimes anatomy. She would release many books over the years and send them back to Shimmerford where they could print more of the books and sell them in her name while she started on her next work. Her books became extremely famous and earned her a lot of gold.
Maxeena’s research and exploration would not only help her discover information about creatures but also many legends and stories. One of these stories piqued her interest more than any of the others. The Tower of Wonder came up in many of these stories and what she already knew from Shimmerford only helped confirm its existence. She began looking for it putting all her work at bay while she traveled all over the world to learn about its location. A year of research and gathering information went by and in the end she learned that the tower of wonder would appear in the Frigid Tundra only a few months later. After learning this she packed immediately without telling anyone. She would go on to find the tower of wonder and enter it but never leave. After a few decades without anything new about Maxeena, the world started to forget her, but not her books. They would go on to be used in many educational programs in schools and by professionals.
