Markinz was born into a family of jewelers in Daharia. His family was well known for their perfect gems and exquisite jewelry. He was the only child of his parents so they made him learn the craft and all aspects for the daharian gem trade. Slow and steady Markinz became a legend at the craft and would make his parents very proud. At the age of 20, he married the love of his life Dezarja Azharvis. Together they had two children Dha’rio and Jacelyn. Both children were taught their trade and brought into their business. Their business was thriving for decades until in A4 640 Markinz started to gamble with their money, and within a year had driven their business almost into the ground. The rest of the family didn't know before it was too late and they were caught. In A4 642 Markinz tried to sell fake gems to the Broodmore family after not having enough money to buy real ones, because of this his entire family was arrested. The slight towards one of the merchant princes were so insulting that they were given a choice between execution or exile. Markinz and his wife Dezarja were old and tired and accepted their death. His children however choose to leave the continent and go to Tyrania.
