Leah Novshade was born as Leah Blackridge, the second child of Lord Blackridge. She was born in Bleakburn in the center to a wealthy family who deals in whaling and are co-owners of the Blackwater Corporation. Leah's childhood was filled with joy and riches, she was a spoiled child who lived in one of the best places in Bleakburn. She had many friends and attended many parties, gatherings and banquets. Her parents never pushed their agenda on her as Leah's bigger brother Garret was trained and taught how to lead the family businesses when his time came.
Leah's family never expected much of her in the way of their business, but in A4 652 the family business got in some trouble. Rumors and allegations of adultery surrounding Leah's father started emerging and hurting the family's reputation. Lord Blackridge decided to counter these allegations and bring respect back to his family by marrying of Leah to another important family, the Novshade family. The leader of the family and the The Novshade Trading Company Kevros Novshade was unmarried and Lord Blackridge propsed to unity first to his parents who then talked Kevros into the marriage. The pair was married after a few months against both of their wills, but Leah was suprisingly fine with the marriage as the Montlet Coast was a beautiful place to live and her new husband Kevros was a gentle and kind man.
