Sal Maclennane spends some time around Blackthorne Manor, Whilst waiting for the writ of introduction, Sal spends some tending to some duties that, in their mind had been neglected. J'Zargo makes his way to the Pathfinder society, the streets are quiet and a distant storm brews, he soon finds out that many are preparing to close shop for the day as the weather is general bad for business. Before the PFS closes, he learns of two jobs, one to deal with a pair of Ogres in Old Oria, and one to bring a thief to justice whos been robbing some of the lesser nobles in the city.
El'Rin spends time at The Plothole chatting to Archie.
Upon gathering once again the party forms a plan of action, Sal Maclennane and Dok will go to Eidryn Hall an meet with a member of House Veylith, whilst Ursus Metallicus, J'Zargo and El'Rin will investigate the lesser noble thefts.
J'Zargo and El'Rin work together to determine the MO of the theif, checking out the locations and designs of the houses that had been robbed, identifying any weaknesses in their security and formulating ideas on how they might rob those places. Ursus Metallicus chats with the house owners, but they provide very limited or vague information about what had been stolen. Even with the limited information provided, the team managed to deduce that most, if not all, of what was stolen was small enough for a single person to steal, and to easily hide on their person, Jewellry and small works of art seemed most common. This also suggested that the thief had an idea of the contents of the houses before robbing them, as each theft seem to have been done carefully and quickly.
Within Eidryn Hall Sal Maclennane and Dok meet with Juliette Veylith. They learn that before her husband had passed, he was an avid collector and researcher of ancient art and histories, and now she tries to continue his legacy. It is determined that the book is likely a journal dating back before the Sundering. Given some time Juliette Veylith stated that she might be able to translate more of the journal. They decide its probably for the best to let her study it, Though the name Hush is mentioned once more.
With the mystery of the journal now waiting for an arbitrary amount of time to pass, the party decide to focus on the thief. They determine that they can either blindly look for "The Web" a thieves guild of sorts, or head down to the Tipsy Wreck where many sailors of varying levels of legitimacy would likely be.
There they find numerous sailors of all sorts and begin to mingle. Dok decides the dire boar meat needs more salt, much more salt.
J'Zargo engages in some light hearted gambling, letting him raise the stakes, culminating in a heated sumo match on the docks as the storm began to rage. J'Zargo won, but not without having to deal with some minor trickery.
J'Zargo was pointed towards Jackie on the Flying Jack, a "sailor" that would happily buy stolen goods for a fraction of their value, to sell off at another port. She was the most likely fence in the area given that Hush hadnt arrived in town yet due to the storm.
And so as the storm closes in on its maximum, the party heads to the Flying Jack.
