The Plothole

The Plothole is a small tavern often overlooked by most people, but for those in the know, its often the place to go.
The barkeep is Archimede Gallid, a Middle aged (40s-50s) human male, who both owns and runs the tavern.   Regular patrons
1. Gorran Stonefist Race: Dwarf Occupation: Miner (retired) Personality: Gruff, grumpy, but with a heart of gold for those he trusts. He always has a story to tell about his time in battle or in the mines, but rarely listens to others. Hook: Gorran’s once-legendary battle hammer has been stolen, and he’s quietly searching for someone brave enough to help him recover it.   2. Elara "Whisper" Vinter Race: Half-Elf Occupation: Information Broker Personality: Quiet, calculating, with a sly smile. She knows everyone’s secrets and will sell them—for the right price. She’s almost always sitting in the darkest corner of the tavern, watching. Hook: Elara offers valuable information, but it comes with strings attached. She might request a small favor in return—a task that seems simple but could lead the party down a dangerous path.   3. Kael Thornblossom Race: Human Occupation: Hunter Personality: Friendly but with a grim side. Kael is well-loved by most of the regulars for supplying fresh game to the tavern, but he is haunted by something from the wilds. Hook: A beast is lurking in the nearby woods, and Kael seems overly concerned. Rumor has it he was once part of a failed hunting expedition, and he may need the party’s help to face his past.   4. Vesra Goldhand Race: Gnome Occupation: Traveling Performer Personality: Energetic and whimsical, Vesra is always in high spirits, entertaining the patrons with songs, jokes, and occasional magical tricks. She’s loved by the tavern for her lively personality, but some think she’s too nosy. Hook: Vesra has been hearing rumors of a lost artifact related to a powerful melody. She might hire the party to help her find it, with the promise of magical rewards.   5. Sigrid "The Boulder" Race: Half-Orc Occupation: Laborer (Dock Worker) Personality: Calm and good-natured despite her size and strength. She’s known for being a regular at arm-wrestling contests in the tavern. She enjoys a good drink and a hearty laugh. Hook: Sigrid has been framed for a crime she didn’t commit at the docks, and she needs someone to help clear her name before things turn violent.   6. Father Ulric Devlin Race: Human Occupation: Local Priest Personality: Stern, with a dry sense of humor. He frequents the tavern to check on the moral fiber of the locals, but he’s often caught sneaking a drink or two himself. Hook: Father Ulric has been receiving strange omens at his temple. He believes there’s an ancient curse slowly awakening in the town, and he quietly looks for adventurers who can help him deal with it.   7. Mira Sellsword Race: Human Occupation: Mercenary Personality: Professional, no-nonsense, but not unfriendly. Mira is a traveling sellsword who frequently stops at the tavern between jobs. She always has her sword within reach. Hook: Mira is looking to form a temporary team for a dangerous bounty. If the players prove themselves useful, she might offer them a lucrative but dangerous job.   8. Brundel Farhopper Race: Halfling Occupation: Traveling Potion Seller Personality: Eccentric and always tinkering with strange new concoctions, Brundel is well-liked for his healing potions, though his other brews can be a bit more unpredictable. Hook: One of Brundel’s experimental potions has gone missing. He’s terrified that someone might unknowingly drink it, leading to unknown effects. He’ll pay well for its safe return—or for information on its whereabouts.   9. Iseel Firebrand Race: Tiefling Occupation: Occult Researcher Personality: Mysterious and aloof, she has an air of danger about her. She is researching forbidden arcane knowledge and is often found reading through ancient tomes by candlelight. Hook: Iseel needs help acquiring a forbidden text from the local library's restricted section, but she isn’t interested in doing it by legal means.   10. Farrik Stormfoot Race: Dwarf Occupation: Blacksmith Personality: Grumpy but incredibly talented, Farrik often comes to the tavern after long shifts at the forge. He’s a perfectionist, which leads him to drink heavily when things don’t go as planned. Hook: Farrik has designed a new kind of weapon, but he needs rare materials to craft it. He’s willing to hire adventurers to recover a lost shipment of ores and magical reagents.
