Seraphina (a.k.a. Sera)
Daughter of the sea witch, Ulsaria, Sera had a very hard childhood of isolation and abuse. Forced by Ulsaria to use her voice to lure the witches' victims into danger or to influence them to do her evil will, Sera struggled to feel free or to trust her growing magical abilities. She has not seen much of the world beyond the beach cave area and the surrounding ocean, because her mother kept her for her evil dealings. When she wasn’t being forced to sing and work for her mother, Sera would spend her time playing with water magic and watching for glimpses of the outside world that she could see from time to time out of the dark cave.
Wanting to be good and escape her entrapment, Sera was heartbroken by her enslavement and could only find comfort in the companionship of her mother’s familiar, a snow white owl named Cali. She has no memories of her father or her mother before she became the evil sea witch. It's like the trauma of her abuse is blocking the memories, but maybe in time, after being free and safe, she could regain those memories.
Sera endured this abuse until she was around 24 years old, when one day her mother didn’t visit her in her isolation, she was very diligent in her visits, coming at the same time every day. Sera found herself free from the magical influence of the sea witch, which had bound her. Convinced that meant her mother was dead, Sera ventured out to discover that Ulsaria had been slain by a group of adventurers named The Path of Nightshade
She claimed Ulsaria’s Trident. Now Sera is on a quest to find the The Grimoire of Expanse - The Book of the Tide - The Unholy Tome of the Depths.
Deep down Sera also has a deep desire to discover who her father is and hopes that he can help her find peace with herself and heal from the trauma her childhood caused her. Reluctant to use her voice and magical powers out of fear of harming more people, I hope that Sera will eventually see the strength her talents are and will find ways to use them to protect the innocent and gain redemption even if that's only with herself.

A bit of a loner, Sera tends to stand away from the crowds and only really feels truly comfortable talking to her familiar owl Cali. She is also a bit of a klutz, she says her legs are less steady on land.
