In the aftermath of obtaining The Grimoire of Expanse - The Book of the Tide - The Unholy Tome of the Depths and Ulsarias Death, they discover there is someone else that lives in Ulsarias lair.   They are introduced to Ulsarias' daughter Seraphina, a water genasi bard who helps them escape but might have other intentions. The party agrees to let her hang around to show her the power and danger of the Tome.   Together they read a Chapter 13: The Maker and The Sunderer in The Wondering and Warnings of Hrothbert and Winifred found in the lair. They learn the identity of the White Wolf and the origin of Aku.   Thuniel also receives a wedding invitation for her cousin Lÿsandrea Liamephoscas

Moz wakes up and immediately senses they aren’t alone. A white-haired, blue skinned female steps out of the shadows and asks who has invaided her home, and tells them to give the item back.   Through the course of the conversation, it is determined she was freed from a spell she was under when Ulsaria died and they took the book. The woman wants to destroy the book because it’s evil. It turns out Ulsaria was her mother. She lead and isolated life away from civilization. She doesn’t know her uncles or her father or anyone but her mother. Ulsaria would use her and her gift to charm and manipulate people into getting her mother what she wanted.   Bobushio thinks she is probably a Water Genasi. Bobushio starts quoting the chapter Chapter 12 - "The Expanse and The Phoenix" in Hrothbert and Winifred that led them to The Tome. The genasi has never heard of it before, but she recognizes the tome from the story as what she is looking for. He gives up his ability to reproduce in exchange for the ability to manipulate people and water and absorbs others’ power to make himself stronger. The woman recognizes that her mother wasn’t always an octopus, but she absorbed that power from elsewhere as she was corrupted over time.   He levels with her about their purpose and introduces himself. She introduces herself as Seraphina. Bobushio says that she’s welcome to come along to safeguard the book as we try to dispose it. Bobushio asks if Sera is coming along, and she says she has to stay near the book.   Bobushio asks if she knows how to get past the magical defenses in the room, but the door is physically sealed shut. The past forty eight hours have been rough. Thuniel cannot find a way out, but Gilly determines that there is no physical door, so Ulsaria likely teleported out by magic.   Sera uses Dimension Door to get to her own room, and from there, is how to get out. Moz shrinks down Bobushio and turns into a toad. Sera then takes the party through a whirlpool dimension door into her room. It’s tidy and organic, and full of trinkets and detritus she has collected, some of it hidden from her mother. There is a tunnel heading out to daylight.   Sera wants to know if they actually have the book because she cannot sense it. There is a discussion about the contents of the bag of holding. Remembering about having Gilderoy in there, and Sera is upset that we might be evil. They assemble Gilderoy and he won’t really provide us with a character reference when she asks if they are trustworthy. She asks if we have ever killed someone without provocation, and he says he’s never been in a battle with us. Sera asks if they’ve been kind to him, and he says yes, unlike his previous employers.   Gilly reassures Sera that she has the book and it’s safe. Outside Moz collects plumewood and goodberry cuttings. Bobushio crafts Thuniel a shield out of the Sapclam shell and the plumewood. After she gathers everything she wants, Moz opens a tree door to the ship. Sera steps onto the deck of The Dragons Redemption a huge ship, and it’s almost as cold as she’s ever been. A rotund red-haired man Chef steps out and hands out bowls of cold ice cream to everyone. A lavender tiefling Rosco Urnonwalks up to Gilly to thank him for the honor of being in charge and inform her that he has taken over the ship.   Bobushio tells Rosco to take Sera on a tour of the ship. Roscoe shows her around the ship, it’s much bigger than she’s ever seen. Rosco tells her not to touch the doors of the private quarters. His own “quarters” are just a hammock with a door in front of it. When Sera asks what happens when you touch the doors, he won’t tell her. Sera casts "Suggestion" that he touch the door, and Rosco is instantly teleported into the brig. She lets him out, then tells him not to talk about it. Rosco tells her he has renamed the ship to Roscoe’s Mojo Dojo Casa House. Sera asks how she could visit someone in their quarters, but Rosco has no idea.   Bobushio seeks out a calendar and sees it’s the 5th of November, so we were only gone a week. Thuniel checks on Meera, and discovers the warforged Luna have been taking good care of her.   While Sera is gone, Bobushio talks to the group. He has concerns with The Aislinn Tower. He’s not sure that they are all on the up and up. He’s not opposed to giving them this book, but he wants a plan to get them back. Initially when the quest was received, they didn’t quite know what to expect. When they showed the Arch-Mage Cristoval De Tresana the first Tome The Grimoire of Ruin - The Book of the Purge - The Unholy Tome of Warfare, he was in awe thinking it was just a fairy tale. He said we need to find out everything that is going on and get all of these tomes. They are taking it seriously since Marwynn Fenwick ’s predecessor blew himself up studying a book. Bobushio just isn’t sure that they shouldn’t take the chapters and keep the tomes.   During supper The party brings Sera up to speed about the whole series of events. Then read the next chapter found in Ulsaria Lair.   The Wondering and Warnings of Hrothbert and Winifred Chapter 13: The Maker and the Sunderer   The Shadow tells Hrothbert he must cradle corruption. Hrothbert asks about the Circle of Eight. The Shadow tells Hrothbert that he will become the Harbinger of shadows. He’ll be able to release the Sunderer Aku. The Shadow is going to let him astral project and time-travel. Hrothbert goes to the moment the Circle of Eight dissolved. Hrothbert realizes he could be the Unnamed Ninth, by subtly influencing the conversation. Hrothbert can’t influence them, so he approaches a boy playing in the woods, the White Wolf, and tells him to release Aku. The Circle of Eight dissolves, but the true reason is unknown. He binds the Sunderer to the Tome, and Bartus is pretty cheesed about it. The book can only be read in absolute darkness. There are words needed to make the words appear. The boy, the White Wolf, is the only one who can stop the demon, and he’s lost in the past.   Moz is the only one remaining who met the White Wolf on the Hell Plane.   Moz gets a Message from the Lokenvale Athenium for Thuniel. Thuniel gets a wedding invite for her cousin Lÿsandrea Liamephoscas to Maximillian D'arlington at the Silver Lodge near Tower of Iotuan. In the margin is a scribbled message. "Please come, I need your help."   Moz takes Thuniel back to The Sunken Sea to pick up Oz. The plane is still there, and things are still business as usual. John Farmer is still trying to stop the things from coming through the portal. We talk about getting the people of Ecco to help him keep the portal shut. John Farmer starts helping the people of Ecco to farm and create sustainable food supplies. They have a way to contact us.   The party decides to put Oz Sindarin in the brig with some comforts.   Thuniel decides to invite Zips to the wedding and everyone else’s decides on a plus one.
