Farrik Lothran
Farrik Lothran (a.k.a. Quick Fingers Farrik)
Farrik the Halfling was born and raised in a simple town but something important set him aside from his fellows. Unlike them, he wasn't happy and content in the rural life and its simple pleasures, he yearned for more, for adventure.
Setting off, he traveled through the Eastern Shores, across the mountains and to the west. Along the way he picked up friends and companions and discovered a knack for thievery and stealth.
He soon became famous for his abilities, sought out for his assistance on adventures and delves into the dark and dangerous places of the world.
It was on one such adventure where, despite his usual cautious nature, he found himself called into a chamber deep in the bowels of the earth. Slipping away from the rest of the adventurers he found his way into a large vault, on a pedestal on the vault was a circlet of black iron, so dark that it looked like a hole in reality itself.
The urge to pick up that crown and place it on his head was too great to resist and once placed on his brow became impossible to remove and he felt something insidious crawling into his mind.
When the powers in the crown took hold, they offered Farrik a choice, become enslaved to their will forever and become a vessel for their dark plans or use the great power locked within the circlet to complete the tasks they set out and be free of the iron crown once that was complete.
Farrik's tale becomes vague here, he says that he managed to form a contract that, while meaning that he is bound to the crown forever, he is freely able to use the dark powers without having to commit the no doubt terrible acts he would have been bound to.
Hearing of this ancient power through rumour, he was found by Fandantulus who wished to see this power for himself.
He recruited the young halfling into The Lightshield Council , more to keep a close eye on him than anything else.
