Tahrves
Tharves owns the northernmost parts of Kraatteri, sharing the continent with the Celtacian Empire. They were forced to move to the colder regions to escape the spore forests and lost many of their former cities and lands to either the decay or the Celtacian Empire. The towns of Tharves are not particularly populated, partly because of the icy weather that prevails there and partly because of the quarrelsomeness of the leaders. Stability and security has become almost a foreign word for the inhabitants, as relations with the Celtacien Empire and the Vileko Kingdom are often very tense. While they may seem somewhat overconfident, many of Tharves' soldiers are strong and enduring warriors who are best not to be underestimated. Their military is considered one of the most dangerous in all of Alkumeri. Although they have few mages in their ranks and are often outnumbered, they were still able to win numerous battles against the odds.
Structure
In Tharves there are 7 Jarls, each controlling a small territory. In each of the cities the laws are subject to the ruling Jarl, so it can happen that something is allowed in one city and not in another. The Jarl can make or break new laws at any time, and also acts as a judge. There is a Crown Jarl, elected by all the other Jarl, who represents Tharves in foreign affairs and can give orders to the others, which they must obey.
It is also possible to earn the title of Jarl yourself by earning great merit or by challenging the current Jarl to a fight to the death and thus taking their place.

Demography and Population
Some humans live in Tharves, as they are the most adaptable of all races and are represented almost everywhere. However, an unusually large number of Rasker also live there, even though the people actually prefer to keep to themselves. Their fighting skills and resistance to the cold have significantly influenced the other inhabitants there, and with their help they have trained them to be good warriors aswell. Elhani are also distributed there, as their thick skin protects them from the harsh cold, although there are not as many as the Rasker. Occasionally there are also people from other races, but this is rather the exception as many others avoid the north.
Technological Level
The inhabitants of Tharves are neither very advanced nor magically skilled, preferring rather to use long-established methods. Nevertheless, they have extensive knowledge of combat and its tools. They can craft weapons and armor of masterful quality, which are often more durable and especially deadlier than those made by other blacksmiths on Alkumeri.
Religion
Religious views vary by area and depend on the Jarl in charge.
