Lake Krastuur

Midway between the town of Steve and the city Eirastir, along the Spire Way, is Lake Krastuur. Sitting in the lake are three small islands. Efforts are being made to construct a bridge between them and the opposite sides of the lake to make traveling to the northeast easier. As it stands travelers must take a few extra hours to circumvent the Lake via Spire Way. Though this bridge project is integral to decreasing travel time, it is a slow-moving project. Lack of funding and several robberies have halted the project many times. As such, the bridge has only been fully constructed up to the first island.   The three islands situated on the lake are fairly mundane. The first island, connected to the mainland via the bridge project, holds nothing more than grass and patches of flowers. The second island is dominated by a large 15-foot high floating obelisk. This obelisk is bluish-green with markings written over a majority of the surface. The third island hosts a dilapidated shack, weathered and broken, and perhaps once a shelter for someone crossing the lake.   The water in the lake is a similar shade of blue-green to the obelisk, only lighter. When someone looks into the lake, at their reflection, they see a malformed version of themselves. Their body twisted and misshapen, eyes glowing and aged beyond recognition. The bridge project is slowed partially because of this. Workers fear to see themselves in the lake's reflection and take extra precautions to not fall in.   Generations of locals have spread tales of people walking into Lake Krastuur to bathe and coming out scaled, misshapen, or even partially rotted. These myths have spread throughout the region and now every traveler knows not to stop and swim in the lake.

Geography

Lake Krastuur is situated in the hill covered lands between The Praery Woods and The Black Downs. Spire Way warps around the edge of the lake. Three islands rest on the lake. One connected to the mainland via a bridge under construction. Travelers cannot help but immediately notice the large floating obelisk in the center of the middle island on the lake.

Fauna & Flora

Apart from grass, there are very few flower species, and no organisms living in the water.
