Little Lafed Settlement in Aligar 2.0 | World Anvil

Little Lafed

Little Lafed is the shopping and entertainment district in Micharlie. This is home to a wide variety of shops, museums, and tourist attractions. Most of the buildings in the other district are made for residents who are the size of gnomes and dwarves but in Little Lafed, the building are made for the larger races. They are all white stucco with brightly painted doors and window trim. Many of the shops have exotic plants outside their windows. The first floor, where the shop is usually located, has high ceilings, about 6-7 feet, the upper stories look to be much shorter. Among the rest of the city, this district looks like a giant's village placed among toys.
As you walk through Little Lafed you are taken by how clean and manicured everything is. White stucco buildings accented by bright trim and doors are interesting, there isn't anything like it anywhere else. You can hear the tinkling of the bells on shop doors as customers enter, the soft buzz of people talking rings in your ears, and the air smells crisp - it must be coming down from the mountain.

Industry & Trade

This district is the public facing city for everything the dwarf/ gnome alliance has to offer to the rest of the world.  Although much of the city was created for the average tourist, the technology trade is where most of the economy lies. Each of the dwarf run companies has a head quarter building in this district where they show off their latest and greatest technology. Here you can find a variety of new, high-tech inventions just waiting for further investment.

Tourism

Tourists spend most of their time in this district. This is the location of the world famous Fnoomdass's Fantastic Fiction, a shop filled to the brink of strange inventions. There are also quite a few shops where you can watch gnomes tinker and invent things, these are very popular with the younger tourists.
