The party continued their slog through the submerged level, taking on more aquatic creatures, automatons, and meeting the Crablord again.


After licking their wounds after the defeat of the murlord, the group made their way down the waterfall, and through a small tunnel, pulled a lever to lower both metal doors, creating a tunnel for Guiliman to come through. They made their way further down the main tunnel Christie had found before, and then they began to get separated as the current took Christie further down the tunnel. The rest of them were able to make it through a door, where they were confronted by an aquatic troll, guarding a portal to the plane of water. Fighting from a small ledge, Guiliman advised retreat, and Guiliman, Jimmy, and Mongoose, headed down the narrow platform to another room where they were safe from the troll (or so they thought) but were confronted with a Bunyip. The three attacked it, but he Bunyip's shriek caused Guiliman to drop his sword and run away. Thankfully, Jimmy and Mongoose were able to defeat it. The troll meanwhile, had started to climb out of it's pool and was trying to squeeze through to give them chase.   While this was happening, Christie only saw further tunnel in front of her, and grabbed hold of a stone door on the side, eventually opening it there. She helped Hans, Jimmy, and the fearful Guiliman as they came by as well.   The group continued down the tunnel where they were attacked by constructs of similar design to Clanky, only they had great metallic shark tails and polearms. Christie used a bit of magic to help them float, as the room was 25 feet high, and 20 feet of that was water, and eventually they all made it onto these dry platforms that were on the edges of the room. Guiliman eventually regained his senses, diving back into the water and swimming to the other side of the room to investigate a desk, where he found a mighty magical battleaxe of admantine!   The group fought the constructs, and were rejoined by Mongoose, whose healing magic kept them all alive. Their normal weapons did little to hurt the automatons, though Jimmy hacked away valiantly, but Guiliman's axe being adamantine was able to seriously hurt them. As the battle raged on, they could hear the sounds of the troll squeezing it's way through the tunnel to get them, but also it fighting Jarash the Crablord and his Giant Crab. Eventually, the Undine spellcaster and his companion killed the troll, riding it's corpse down the rest of the tunnel and helping the group to defeat the automatons. Once they all caught their breathe, he offered to help them back to the starting area, explaining that he needed their help and they clearly needed rest. He explained that the necromancer in the level directly below this one had built the automatons and placed them there as guards, he had also kidnapped Salzyfe and Zundila, Jarash's undine wives, who also happened to be spellcasters with an affinity for crabs.   The group wanted to clear out the rest of the level of monsters, and they were able to do so with the Crablord's help, slaying a great moray eel, and collecting all the treasure from all the rooms.
