Demonic Invasion of Thistlefort

The Demon Lord Basdedreal opens a portal in the middle of Thistlefort and invades, wrecking havok with his minions. He steals the Book of Evil and retreats back to his abyssal plane.

The demon lord Basdedreal, seeking the Book of Evil, opened a portal from the Abyss and invaded Thistlefort with a group of demons, which included the demon known as "The Thorny Mistress", who had previously escaped The Spire. They set to burning the town down and attacking the populace, and easily overwhelmed the town guard. The Heroes of the Spire did battle with the demon lord and his minions, killing many of them, but Basbedreal was able to steal the Book of Evil from Christie Fastbender, and then retreat to the abyss. The dwarven warrior Borje did kill the Thorny Mistress, returning possession of the Pistol of Justice to Hans Muhlfeld
