Campaign 4, Session 31

The adventurers find the cure to the skum transformations, and cure the island of it's curse.

After the battle, the group found their weapons to have been imbued with great power. Mongoose's Ankus became "Zoleah's Grace", Mythos's sword became "The Spirit Blade of Guiliman", Han's Pistol transformed into "The Pistol of Justice", and Roren's Magical Staff merged with the broken spear to become "Roren's Staff". The group carried on, moving through the rest of the underground structure, where they found more of the towns people, who had been working on trying to dig open a trench to the aboleth's chambers, and had seemingly come out of an enchantment. They thanked the party, and seemed interested when Mongoose encourged them to thank Zoleah instead. Here the group also found an alchemical lab, and they found many notes on the transformation, as well as six elixirs of true form, which would cure their transformation. Hans was able to take these notes, so that he may make more of the potions later, if he chose.   The group made their way back to the surface, and continued to search for a way to remove the evil magic from the island, to prevent future transformations. They rested in a building, and Alana had nightmares concerning her sister and her well being. In the morning, they set out to explore more, and found a magical observatory. After dispatching with the phase spiders there, they were able to partially activate the building, which seemed to be very magical. They were also able to determine that one of the lenses was broken. They eventually found a replacement lense in one of the other buildings, and were able to fix the observatory, having determine that it could be used to amplify magical powers. They conversed with an illusionary wizard that appeared there, and using the power of the observatory, they were able to dispel the magic on the island, freeing it from the curse going foward, as well as curing themselves and the villagers who had been rescued.
