Millloft

Millloft was a prosperous farming town during the Age of Dragons. Located on the southern borders of The Green Dragon Forest, it was a popular stop for traders heading north to Stonehaven Mountains or the barbarian lands (the region known in the current day as the Confederacy of Jodan), or traveling east through The Great Sand Sea.

History

The town is historically significant as the birthplace of Yohan and Jodan Harnell, the humans who shaped the rebellion against The Dragon Queen. Shortly after Yohan's rebellion at The Battle of the Red River, the town was burnt to the ground by dragonfire in an attempt to kill Yohan's family and friends and to make an example of them to others who might join his cause. This event was called "The Burning of Millloft" and the result was the death of the majority of the town's inhabitants. However, Jodan Harnell escaped the wrath of The Dragon Queen, fleeing north and rallying the barbarian tribes to his cause. This also drove the humans firmly into the rebellion, as many realized The Dragon Queen had no concerns about killing off her own loyal subjects.
The town was abandoned and never resettled, and many say it is haunted in the present day, the ghosts of the former residents drifting amongst the ruined buildings and attacking travelers.
